To the side of the spiral staircase, there was also an ancient elevator, so rudimentary that one would hesitate to ride it unless they were seeking an adrenaline rush.
Tang Qi had no issues with the elevator, but being well-informed about the "Old Tavern," he decisively chose the spiral staircase.
Like most of the "Transcendent guests," he stepped onto the staircase, ascending step by step. Yet, in a bizarre twist, he found himself as if "the world had sunk," with his line of sight and footsteps moving upward, but his body appearing underground.
