"Hurry up Vox! Mom will be angry if she knows!" A young kid, around the age of 13 said in a hurried tone to another one, younger looking boy.
The young looking boy had a cat in his hand and the cat had one of its paws rotated in a naturally impossible degree.
"But it will die if we leave it!" The young boy said as a sad expression plastered itself on his face.
"But mom said no animals inside the house!" The other boy said also a bit frustrated but his mother's words were law to him, he was thankful enough as it is and did not want to make them angry if he could help it. Not to mention his dad would then try to help them making the 2 fight.
"But..."
"Please Vox, I don't want to make mom sad.." said the boy and hurriedly left again. They had to be home before dinner or they will be scolded.
"I am sorry mr. whiskers... Vox teared up as he left the cat with the broken paw near the sidewalk and ran after the other kid as he cried.

"So, how was your day?" A woman said as she smiled at the 2 little kids in front of her.
"..."
"What did you do this time Vox." The woman rubbed her temple at her troublesome son. Everytime he would create trouble, flirt with girls even at that age which made her and her husband truly speechless. Yesterday he broke a window when playing catch, the day before a kid got beaten with a rock because Vox thought it was a funny joke.
"We left Mr. Whiskers.." Vox said dejectedly.
"Mr. Whiskers?" the woman looked st her older son for answers.
"A cat we found on the roam mom." Said the older kid.
"Oh good, no cats in this house, your father is allergic to their fur."
"It had a broken paw.. " Vox again felt like tearing up as he remembered the wounded cat.
"Bring me to this, Mr. Whiskers, I will call someone to take care of it." She said as she rubbed Vox's head.
'He is too kind, no one gets mad st his mischievous behavior because the kindness far outshines it. He will be a great man one day.' She thought to herself as the left to look for the cat.
The cat was treated by professionals after they called for them.
"Let's go home." The woman smiled as she held their hands and walked back towards their home.
