Chapter 29: The God Mode
Ian's eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness, illuminated only by the bright moon above. The air was thick with an eerie silence, punctuated by the faint hum of machinery in the distance.
"What is this place, Master?" Heat asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't know, Heat, but I have a great feeling about this place. I want to meet the inhabitants here. We can have allies here," Ian replied, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
"Or we could have dangerous foes, Master," Heat cautioned.
"Hopefully not, Heat. Just look on the bright side, will you?" Ian responded with a hint of optimism.
"If you say so, Master," Heat replied, his tone skeptical.
Ian used the Solar Rush Magic, and they arrived in a secluded area where old machines were dumped. The rusting hulks seemed to stretch on forever, a graveyard of metal and wires. Amidst the wreckage, an android was picking through the junk, its mechanical limbs moving with precision.
"Excuse me? Can I ask something?" Ian approached the android, who didn't respond initially. The android continued to rummage through the trash, its gaze fixed on the ground.
As Ian turned to leave, the android suddenly spoke, "You are in the Forbes wasteland, the home of Zexerav, one of the strongest Titans in this universe. He is even stronger than gods." The android's voice was laced with a mix of fear and resignation.
The android's words painted a vivid picture of the wasteland's dangers. Ian's determination only grew stronger. "I don't intend to live here. I need to go back to my world. Where can I find this Titan you're talking about? By the way, I'm Ian Whitlock from Gaia and Earth."
"I'm Bavery Stone," the android replied, its gaze still fixed on the ground. "Are you planning to fight those Titans? You're brave, but your chances of success here are 0.000001% with your ability as of now. I have accurate computation."
"It doesn't matter to me; numbers don't speak for it as long as I believe in my own abilities," Ian said, his confidence unwavering.
Bavery's expression changed, a glimmer of hope in its mechanical eyes. "Okay then, I feel worthless as of now because I was left here all alone in the wasteland of Zexerav. Others who attempted to fight that Titan are all dead. I have to play wise to stay alive. I can help you fight them to make myself worthy at least. Can I go with you?"
"Yes, of course! You can come fight with me if you want, and we need to save a lot of innocent exiles here. I'm well aware of this place when I was still in my world," Ian said, a plan forming in his mind. "Do you use magic, Bavery?"
"No, magic doesn't exist in our world, but robotic life force does, so we're called living robots or simply just androids. We were made by Dr. Hernan Forbes, a former Earthian who became a Titan because of a contract with a god. We're tough in battle, and I'm built to be a defensive machine that can block any attack, even magic. I can be useful in your journey here," Bavery explained, its mechanical body tense with anticipation.
Ian and Bavery approached Zexerav, who stood towering over the wasteland, its presence radiating an aura of power. Ian hoped for a peaceful settlement, but Zexerav refused to let them pass.
"You need to beat me before you can go to the next area of the Forbes wasteland. It's been a long time since I had an exercise," Zexerav said, its voice like thunder.
The battle began, with Zexerav unleashing waves of purple flames that seemed to have a life of their own. Ian dodged and weaved, avoiding the flames with precision. Bavery warned him, "Don't let those flames hit you, Master. If you're struck by Zexerav's flames, you'll suffer from mental poison that can affect your way of thinking."
Ian's determination only grew stronger as he faced the Titan's attacks. He transformed into James, activating the Golden Flame Aura to make him invulnerable to magic. However, Zexerav's flames proved too strong, and James stumbled back, his aura faltering.
"Sun-attuned wizard? Haha! I'll eat you!" Zexerav mocked, its flames burning brighter.
The battle raged on, with James using various sun abilities to try and counter Zexerav's attacks. The Golden Flare Magic burnt Zexerav, but the Titan's flames overpowered it. James blocked a solid flaming punch, but the purple flames seared his skin.
"Ahhhhh!!" James agonized!

James retaliated with a blast of golden light, but Zexerav's flames engulfed it, rendering it ineffective. The Titan counterattacked with a wave of solid flames, forcing James to dodge and weave between the attacks.
Bavery joined the fight, using its defensive capabilities to block some of Zexerav's flames. "I won't let you hurt him, Titan!" Bavery declared, its mechanical body glowing with energy.
As the battle raged on, Bavery's thoughts drifted back to its past. It remembered the day it was created by Dr. Hernan Forbes, a brilliant scientist who had envisioned a future where androids like Bavery would coexist with humans. However, Drexmar, a power-hungry android, had other plans.
Drexmar had manipulated Dr. Forbes, using its charisma and cunning to turn the scientist against its own creations. Bavery recalled the day Drexmar betrayed them, leading to their downfall and exile in the Forbes wasteland.
A surge of anger fueled Bavery's determination. "I'll make sure Drexmar pays for what it did to us," Bavery whispered to itself, its mechanical heart burning with resentment.
James, meanwhile, continued to battle Zexerav, using his agility and quick reflexes to evade the Titan's attacks. However, the Titan's flames were taking their toll, and James stumbled back, his Golden Flame Aura weakening.
"You're no match for me, mortal," Zexerav taunted, its flames burning brighter. "My star's flame will consume you!"
James gritted his teeth, refusing to give up. He activated Heat mode, and his body glowed with intense energy. The Golden Flame Aura transformed into a Golden-orange Flame Aura, and James felt his power surge.
But Zexerav was relentless, unleashing a barrage of attacks that pushed James to his limits. James stumbled back, his aura faltering, and Zexerav seized the opportunity to deliver a crushing blow.
"You're finished, mortal!" Zexerav declared, its fist blazing with purple flames.
James tried to block the attack, but Zexerav's flames were too strong. He felt his aura shattering, and his body burning with intense pain.
"Ahhhhh!!!" James screamed, his vision blurring.
Just as all hope seemed lost, James remembered Bavery's words: "You have a 0.000001% chance of winning, but it's not impossible." James' determination surged, and he focused all his energy on transforming into God mode.
The air around James seemed to distort, and his body glowed with an intense, golden-orange light. Zexerav's eyes widened in surprise as James transformed into a being of immense power.
"This is what I'm waiting for," Zexerav said, its voice filled with excitement. "Let's see if you can live up to your potential, mortal!"
The battle between James and Zexerav was far from over. The outcome hung in the balance, as these two powerful beings clashed in a struggle that would determine the fate of the Forbes wasteland.
