JACOB'S POV
I don't know where to start. Until now, everything has been vague for me. We just wanted to enjoy our vacation at Resonance Resort, but fortunately, I met them, especially her.
While we were sitting on the sofa and waiting for the hotel staff to accompany us to our rooms, three people sat beside us. She was one of them. They laughed out loud as if they were the only people in the lounge. As we looked at them confusedly, I noticed that the girl beside me was staring at me, then roaming around, gazing at us.
"Louise!" One of her friends screamed her name.
She looked at him and burst into laughter. While looking at her, laughing nonstop, a smile plastered across my lips.
"Why are you smiling?" Johan whispered to my left ear. He's smiling widely as well.
"Nothing. She's cute." I replied before I looked at her again.
When they finally realized we were looking at them, she stood up and faced us.
"We're very sorry for making some noise, " she said before bowing, and they ran as fast as they could.
Louise is her name, and I guess we will see each other here for how many days. I can't wait to see her and talk to her every day. I hope I can get to know her deeply.
When we were in the dining area, I immediately noticed them because there was no one except for them and us. This resort is secluded, so we will always see each other. One of her friends called our attention, so we looked at them. They told us that Louise was our fan, so we greeted her. She turned on our side while smiling awkwardly.
"Hi?" She greeted back, but it was like a question.
"Oh!" I acted like I was surprised to see her again. "You were the noisy girl earlier, right?"
"No. I-I'm just laughing at his jokes." She said while pointing at her gay friend. "He was the one who kept on talking earlier. And as far as I remember, we apologized for being noisy."
"Hey, calm down," I said while laughing. Don't worry; we're not mad at you. Just see you around, guys." I waved at them and looked at her before returning to eating. I couldn't stop smiling while I was thinking about her reaction earlier.
She's hilarious.
The first night that we gathered for a bonfire, I asked them if they believe in love at first sight, and she was beside me. My heart throbbed rapidly when our eyes met, and she asked me if I believed in it. I said yes. We stared at each other for minutes, but she averted her gaze at Daniel.
Lovie, one of her friends, asked us what are our ideal types. My friends were also like her. I'm a man, so I can feel if my fellow man likes a girl. The way they looked at her is different. They have a spark in their eyes while staring at her beautiful face. I can't do anything because she's not mine. When Marvin was telling his ideal type, I could see the spark in her eyes while looking at him. She's simp to him. Her friends teased her endlessly, and her face became red, so she lay down on the sand. I was listening to them while my eyes fixed on her while she was still looking up in the dark sky.
She doesn't know she's brighter than a million stars in the sky.
On the next day, I didn't know that she would also wake up early to watch the sunrise. I was surprised when I saw her sitting alone while facing the sea. At first, I was hesitant to approach her, but eventually, I stood behind her and greeted her.
"Good morning, Louise," I said before I sat beside her.
She smiled brightly, and my day was complete already because of that smile. She didn't know that I was just staring at her like she was the most beautiful creature I've ever seen. Honestly, she's way more beautiful than the sunrise. I enjoyed watching her while she was watching the sunrise and smiling ear to ear.
She's too precious in this world. Little things make her very happy.
The day when she had a fever, I couldn't focus on our activities, so I insisted on taking care of her. We had a lot of similarities, for instance, reading books, she likes to be in a peaceful place, on the beach, and she's smart. I can't stop myself from falling in love with her. This is the first time that I fell in love with a fan. No, she's not lucky that I like her; I'm the one who's fortunate to meet her. She looks like an angel while sleeping, and I can't take my eyes off her.
Am I too gay? Argh. She's driving me crazy.
It was our fourth day when Ivan embraced her. I was hurt, so I did my best to get her attention, and I got her through playing the guitar. When the time wherein we would tell our vision five years or ten years from now, I tell what's in my heart. She looked at me and smiled. My heart skipped a beat when she did that. The feelings I have for her are unstoppable. No one can stop me from falling with Louise.
I could finally say I like her thoseg those days we were liked her. Although it's too early to say that I like her, I know in my heart that I do. Her simplicity and personality are her best assets. I won't stop praising and admiring her because I want her to know that she's a gem, a diamond, a gold that I don't want to lose.
Am I obvious that I'm in love with her? I am.
She's sitting beside me while watching one of her favorite movies. Our Times. Our companions, lying down on the lap of their boyfriends while she's still here, sparkling her eyes watching Our Times. She's really different from them.
I decided to watch it with her, but I can't focus on the screen because I look at her every minute. I'm having more fun watching her than watching Our Times.
"Love watching it?" I can hear the voice of Karl asking her.
"Yes." She smiled widely. "Do you know what the movie is all about?"
I glanced at her and waited for her next word. Her mind is gorgeous. Her perception of life is broad, and I love the way she thinks.
"It's all about waiting and fulfilling your promise." She muttered. I smiled widely when I heard it.
I knew that she had had no boyfriend since birth, so am I, single from birth until now.
"Waiting is also a form of love, " she said again. "If you can't wait for the right time and act impulsively, surely you will make mistakes."
"Either you pick the wrong person, or everything will be messed up," I added.
"There's no such thing as the wrong person." She contradicted what I'd said and looked into my eyes. "Someone will give you a lesson, but it doesn't mean that she or he's the wrong person. You should be thankful because they came into your life. Through them, you will meet your person."
I told you she's smart. Every single word that she utters impacts me, and I'm willing to listen to her every second of my life.
"Louise, what if I'm your person?" Marvin said, looking straight into her eyes.
I'm dumbfounded. In the first place, I knew that Louise liked him, and I knew that he had already confessed to her. I don't know how to feel; he's too fast, and I know that I will lose again.
"L-Let's continue watching it." She stuttered before she fixed her eyes again on the screen.
I smiled bitterly. Here I go again. I will experience another one-sided love, but this time, it's different because this is no longer puppy love; this is real love.
"You will see why Hsu Taiyu is an ideal man." She said, smiling. "He was able to fulfill his promise for Lin Truly."
"Promises are meant to be broken," I said. I have no intention of contradicting her words; I just want to tease her.
"For Hsu Taiyu, it's not his thing." She smiled like she had known that man for a long time. "Even if they grow apart, he will still be able to fulfill his promise to his girl."
I smiled as well. She never fails to make my heart beat faster. If the world can't make her happy, I'll do it.
"Have you ever waited for someone?" She suddenly asked me without looking at my side.
I stared at her for seconds. She is a beautiful person.
"Y-Yes." I stuttered.
She just nodded and didn't bother to ask me again. I looked around to see if our companions were already asleep. Her friends were already sleeping, but we, RealSeven, were watching with her. Even Ivan—I know him very well—doesn't like to watch romantic movies, but he's here, watching them already because of Louise.
"Have you watched Crazy Little Thing Called Love?" Karl asked her. Her eyes lit up as she looked at Karl.
"Yes!" she exclaimed. I've watched it several times. That movie is like Our Times; it's all about waiting."
"I've watched it several times, too," Karl smiled widely. He's enjoying talking with Louise. "It's a Thai movie."
"Everyone loves it. The story, characters, and the plot." Louise smiled.
"You're a fan of pure love," Ivan said.
"Of course!" She smiled again. Her smile never vanishes on her face.
After our movie marathon, we decided to end this night. Tomorrow is our last day at this resort, and we don't have any plans.
"Let's go hiking," Karl uttered. I saw Louise look at him amusedly.
"Great idea!" Marie exclaimed.
I just looked at them while planning tomorrow's hiking trip. They had a lot of plans for tomorrow: a barbecue party in the evening, hiking, swimming, and dancing. After we finished planning, we went back inside the hotel.
"Goodnight, Jacob." Louise smiled at me before she could enter their room.
Her smile melted my heart. I hope she will smile just for me, but it's impossible. Okay, I have to accept that she will never be mine.
I lose again in this battle called love.
