Audrey woke up from the cracking sounds of the dawn, the morning brought cool air and dense fog all around the forest, she got out of the tent groggily and yawned covering her mouth with her palm, from what she remembered Xara taught her that ... 'A lady doesn't yawn leaving her mouth open like a wild cat! A lady covers their mouth with their palm while yawning' she shook her head smiling faintly, she would really miss that old woman.
It was the third day of their journey now to Ximpton, Audrey was praying for them to reach sooner to Ximpton cause if there is one thing that she hates then it's riding a carriage, she is used to riding horses mostly.
She darted her eyes around looking for someone who was nowhere to be seen, there were only soldiers around her, "Miss Annietta is by the river fetching some water so as to make some tea your highnesses" said one of the soldiers noticing how worried her eyes were searching for her. "Oh thank you" she smiled at him, the soldier bowed and stepped aside so he could escort her there, on their way to find a place to camp last day she recalls seeing a river too, it was not too far form their tent.
"Annie..... Good morning " she squatted down and used both of her palms to wash her face with the cold river water, she shivered a bit and squealed. They both laughed at her reaction, "Good morning my Queen..... how was your night in the jungle?" she asked dramatically to have both of them laugh again, it was their first time to sleep in the middle of the forest, it was probably a memorable day of their lives. Audrey pouted teasingly "Mmm .... noisy?" she said to only have Annie whine too "Oh dear .... those owls! I felt like catching every one of them and cook them for soup! too noisy" they giggled, having owls for soup? that was ridiculous in Audrey's ears, she shook her head.
Suddenly the strands of her hairs danced, making her eyes crease sharply, she placed her palm on the ground focusing her ears, Annietta stiffened at her sudden shocking face "What is it my Queen?" she was worried all of a sudden, she knew that something wasn't right.
"I sense danger, we have to leave from here now!" her eyes enlarged saying this, the little basket of water slipped from Annie's hands, the water splattered on the ground causing mud splashing up staining their dresses, she was extremely shocked "Let's go my Queen!" she held her wrist firmly and ran back to their camping site, the horror on their faces was too grave to explain what happened to the soldiers, they got I to their carriage and the coachman started to ride away, the soldiers had to run along the carriage protecting the Queen. They swore to protect the Queen now if anything happens to her ..... they are as good as dead.
Shortly their carriage halted with a big break making Audrey and Annie to fall forward and their heads. "Are you Okay my Queen?" questioned Annie, she nodded in response, "What happened black?" shouted Annie at the coachman there were an utter silence out their making her even more worried, she furrowed "Black!!" she shouted irritated by the no response treatment. "Protect the Queen!!" is all they heard afterwards making her eyes pop out, "Oh no!" The next thing they heard were clicking sounds of the swords and flesh that getting sliced like a meat out there. Audrey bitten her lips in both anger and worry, who would dare to attack her? She haven't even arrived at the battlefield yet (Ximpton) and now she was already getting attacked on the way. But who could this be? .
As if sensing her next actions.... Annietta shook her head in denial with her furrowed eyebrows "NO! don't go out there Rey!" she held her wrist stopping her, she knows her very well, she is the most stubborn person she ever known, if there is one thing she hates then its accepting a defeat without trying, but not this! this was too dangerous what if she dies? No no no! God please protect her, she prayed within her knowing that she won't be able to hold her back for a long time.
Audrey looked at her paled face "Don't worry .... I got this Annie" she pulled away from her hold and stepped out of the carriage, her eyes enlarged "What are they?" she questioned "B..b..Beasts!" blurted Annie and fell down to her knees beside Audrey, her legs were far too weak to stand anymore, Audrey's eyes were darting between the so called beasts and her soldiers that were no match to those hideous creatures. Their big bodies with disgusting skin of reptiles, oversize hand that doesn't even fit with their bodies, long canines that were almost reaching their chest, big black eyes that were sticking out of their sockets like they would fall down anytime, the scene made her head spin for a second, "Goodness!" she murmured "My Queen let's run! those beasts would kill us!" yelled Annie tagging her dress, she managed to stand on her feet again but she was still trembling in fear unlike Audrey.
She was pulling her so they could just run for their lives, there is no way they could defeat those creatures or monsters? Agh! Whatever! let's just run!.
Audrey's lips started to tremble out of anger, seeing her soldiers being turned into sauced meat was freaking her out "How dare they? No! .... who ordered them?" probably someone who wants her dead! she replied to herself in anger, there were only few soldiers that remained, they circled the Princess and Annietta in protective shield, they may die today, but they would die doing their duty not cowardly. "Oh oh! my Queen your hairs!" shouted Annie even more shocked that now Audrey's hairs were know turning red in colour, "Fudge!" she cursed, now they are all done for, once her hairs turn red ... it only because she is extreme angry, this was a point if no return, she won't stop until she gets what she wants. "My Queen .... you are not going to ..." before she could even finish her words, Audrey took a sword that was lying on the bloodied grounds, she could see her soldiers scattered every, "Stay back" she said almost like a whisper, Annie gulped and took a step back, this isn't her field even though she knows some moves but she won't stand a chance with those beasts, thus was her Queen's field, the one that looks like a beautiful Goddess of slaughter, her face void with any other emotion but anger, her red long hairs flowing away with the wind, it felt like the time had stopped, the aura she was exuding was too much and they now ... they are doomed.
The moment she moved back aas ordered to stand away from the battle, it was like a signal for them to advance their attack, one of the beasts went straight to Audrey attacking with its long hands, she dodged it with a scream and she slid down so now they exchanged positions, the beast sneered but the next moment one of its big hands dropped down to the ground, Audrey's lips curled up, so it wasn't even aware when did Audrey slice them. the beast growled and went to attack her again, she sliced the other hand from it's shoulder, it dropped down too, the beasts eyes were about to pop out surprised by how fast the fragile being was.
Audrey didn't give the beast another chance to attack her so while it was stupefied.... she flipped above it and Slit it's throat with her sword, green liquid gashed form it's headless big body before falling down with a big thud. The other beasts were enraged, there were at least four of them now remained and about five soldiers out the whole group "Ew!" said Annie feeling disgusted by the kind of blood the beast actually had. Two beasts decided to attack her at same time, Audrey moved her body body sword swiftly and the best part was that her sword never misses a cut, once beast was able to attack her, she was thrown her body slamming to the ground, she groaned in pain and was gasping for air, her heart was pounding, she expected the encounter, although she was strong still ....not strong enough to take them all down at same time.
"My Queen!!! Let . Me . GO!" yelled Annie, she was held captive by one of the beasts as she stubbornly throw useless kicks at it. "No! Annie!" she was panicking, she stood up on her feet wincing in pain, her body was aching to the sudden fall, as one beast held Annie the other two lounged their attacks at her, she felt weak to move the sword so just when they were about to attack her she created a big wall as a barrier , Bang!!! they hit on the barrier and bounced a bit far from her, "Let go of her!" she yelled closing her eyes, the wind blew faster and harsher, she stomped her leg out of anger creating a crack line on the ground which ended up to the beasts feet and the two beasts were smashed against each other by the force... with only their green blood scattering everywhere, she opened her eyes, they were glowing green very brightly.
The beast that was holding onto Annie was enraged and let go of her in the process, Annie was shocked by what just happened but she liked it, Audrey broke the barrier and took the sword, she then threw it in the air to Annie's direction "Annie catch!!" she yelled, Annietta's eyes enlarged seeing the sword coming towards her face, she knew exactly what was happening, she grabbed it with both of her hands and before the beast could attack her ... she stabbed the beast behind her without turning ... with her closed eyes out of fear. The wind blew making her hairs dance with the air, the next thing that she heard was a heavy body falling beside her with a loud thud 'BANG!!' even the grounds shook a bit, she flinched still not opening her eyes when the cold breeze blew on her feet.
Meanwhile within the woods not too far from them, there was a man in black, he clenched his fists and walked away, he saw everything and he was extremely disappointed.
