"It's okay, Perun," I whispered, rubbing my wolf's head as we sat on the floor. "I'll figure it out."
We were failing.
Perun wasn't looking good. His labored breathing was raspy now, and he couldn't stand anymore. Jushion's heightened aggression hurt him internally, and he couldn't fight him off. That makes the process more challenging. I have to figure out how to separate them without killing my wolf.
"His skin is starting to dry out," Shay warned, running his hand over Perun's back. "If Jushion takes more control, the clay will start showing."
So, that's how he'd take him back.
"I'm afraid to make another cut," I admitted, staring at the thin line on Perun's leg. I'd tested the knife, but all I'd done was hurt him and myself. The same mark was now on my arm. "Is there anyone we can ask?"
