After we all stuffed our faces with the delicious foods that my dad and Skyler's dad had grilled today and the wonderful side dishes our grandma's brought over.
Addie said her goodbyes with a promise to always come back with Damien whenever he picks up Xavier or drops him back off.
Damien also extended an open invitation to all the retired folks to come visit him and Addie anytime they wish to .Not just Addie's family but mine also. After Addie hugged all the grandparents and parents we headed out the door and drove into Juneau.
At the airport we all stood on the tarmac and said our fair- wells also with a hug and a few well wishes to both Damien and Addie. While two men loaded Addie's belongings into the belly of the private jet Damien had chartered.
Xavier gave everyone a bear hug mixed with his special." Latters alligator " which Andie explained that I should reply with " After while crocodile." Because according to Andie and Xavier we shouldn't ever tell the people we love. " Good-bye" Especially if you want to see that person again really soon.
Damien then clapped Skyler on the shoulder as a friendly gesture. Really a strategic move on his part to bring Skyler over to his side of argument before it ever started. Then he suggested to Chloe. " You know, I'll be glad to keep Xavier a little while longer this week. It'll give the two of you time to take care of what ever Skyler needs to in LA. And you time to get Xavier's room redecorated without having to rush things or worry about what he's getting into."
" But I'll miss him." Chloe said sadly placing her hand gently on Xavier's little leg.
Who at this moment was resting his head on Damien's shoulder and could easily be mistaken for a perfect little Angel. With his soft blond curls, cute puffy cheeks, and striking turquoise blue eyes. That's if he wasn't sticking his little cubby fingers in Damien's mouth every chance he got.
Which didn't seem to bother Damian he just adjusted his hold on Xavier and removed those little chubby fingers from his mouth before he responded to Chloe . " I know you will, but we can do what we have always done before.. We shouldn't change anything now that we have our mates. The only difference is instead of just you visiting when he stays longer with me. Now You and Skyler can come together. The room next to his is still yours anytime you want to use it. You'll still be able to get your baby boy hugs and then get your work done without worrying about what he's getting into." Damien explained,what sounded like a good plan to me.
" I guess you're right." Chloe said hesitantly glancing up at Skyler obviously waiting for his approval.
Which Skyler was quick to pick up on, he smiled warmly at Chloe." Babe, I think Damien has a good point." He murmured gently massaging her shoulders." If that's the the way you and he have always worked things out we shouldn't change it . Xavier has enough changes going on in his life right now with just getting used to his new living arrangements and two new step parents." He stated the obvious reason they shouldn't change anything else and that being for Xavier's best interest.
Then he extended his hand towards Damien to shake , witch Damien readily took." If it isn't a problem we'll stop by on the way back from LA"
Skyler suggested.
" No problem at all."Damien replied, vigorously shaking Skyler's hand. He then shoved Xavier towards Chloe saying. " Give mommy hugs"
After Xavier hugged Chloe one last time they boarded the jet and took off back to Seattle. Chloe was a little sad to see Xavier leaving but after Skyler held her tightly in his arms all the way back to the Pack house she seemed to be better by the time we arrived back in my office.
Where Skyler and I went over our schedule for the coming week while Chloe showed Andie pictures on her phone of how she wanted to redecorate Xavier's room in a forest theme. With a mural painted on the wall and a set of treehouse bunk beds.
" I'll serch the area for a local artist and a carpenter while you're gone." I overheard Andie mummer drawing my attention to the phone in her hand.
After a quick glance at the pitcher she was looking at. I knew exactly who to call to get everything done before Damien brings Xavier back. Or at least mostly done so that Chloe can put her final touches on it while he's playing or taking a nap.
" Sweetheart send that image to my phone and I will contact the art teacher here at our high school. She's really talented and does a lot of freelance work during the summer to earn extra money. I'm sure she will be happy to get the job and as far as the bunk bed her husband can build those. He's the shop teacher at our high school and just like his wife he also picks up odd jobs during the summer."
" Sounds good to me. Here's the key." Skyler agreed,pulling the key from his key ring handing it over to me.
" I guess we're done here." I said,slipping the key inside my desk drawer.
" Well I guess we'll see you when we get back then." Skyler murmured, grabbed Chloe's hand and in a blink of an eye they were both gone.

Chloe's POV
Using the GPS coordinates that Skyler gave me I closed my eyes and spoke them in my head willing my magic to take us there.
The exact same way I had done when Andie sent me the location of the Starlight Pack house.
Then I opened my eyes to a beautiful
familiar sight of an endless ocean view from this, this.Just what the fuck is this? I ask myself as I slowly turned my head to look around at my surroundings.
Taking in the artful beauty of the modern sophisticated looking beach home with its clean straight lines and the huge wall of glass behind me. A far cry from the cliff side old Victorian mansion that I grew up in.
Then I finally realized I'm standing on an elegant marble oceanfront terrace with a glass railing that allows the view to reach all the way to the horizon.
Definitely not what I expected Skyler's beach house to look like. Then suddenly a terrible thought popped into my head .
What if I missed my mark and we were now standing on someone else's beautiful terrace. By the way the place looks we would definitely be arrested for trespassing perhaps even stalking. If the people who lived here were some outrageously famous movie stars or something.
Finally I shifted my gaze over towards Skyler for conformation of my success or my failure. Just to see him smirk like the freaking devil. "You like it?" He ask sweeping his arm out across the white marble terrace.
My eyes followed his movements to the comfortable looking off white setting arrangements strategically placed about for entertaining guest.
Then down to the other marble terrace below with a seemingly never ending turquoise blue infinity pool. And of course I couldn't miss the mesmerizing view of the sun setting over the Pacific ocean.
I had to blinked a couple of times just to pull myself out of the dazed state I was in. What the hell kind of question was that? I wondered ."Yes, yes, I really really like it." I said a bit breathlessly,
Skyler tugged on my hand and I heard him say " Come I'll show you around"
I followed like a lost puppy still a bit dazed and trying to wrap my mind around the fact that my mate owns this magnificent work of architectural art.That he doesn't even live in and so nonchalantly calls a beach house.
We walked towards that huge glass wall that just slid open when we got about three feet away from it. My surprise must have shown on my face because without out me asking Skyler offered an explanation. "retina recognition "He murmured stepping on into a gorgeous master bedroom.
The master bedroom flowed seamlessly with the white marble terrace.The same white marble was used on the floor and the off white comforter and walls were the same color as the outdoor chairs and sofas. The wall behind the bed had a large painting of the sun setting over the ocean. Actually it's the same serene image I was just looking at out on the terrace.It was also the only color in the room with the exception of a few touches of black that framed that large glass wall and two nightstands flanking the king size bed.
From the bedroom Skyler led me into the master bathroom no surprise there .It had a huge glass shower with a dozen or more water jets that could spray from different angles and a deep soaking tub big enough for at least four people to relax in. Just as I had expected a master bathroom of this type of luxurious house would have.
The long counter tops were also on par with the rest of the bathroom. Stretching all the way across one wall with two of those glass vessel type sinks mounted on it in beautiful swirls of turquoise and blue.The same colors used in the painting that hung over the bed adding just a touch of color in the room.
After leaving the bathroom Skyler showed me three more bedrooms all of them decorated in the same modern style using neutral colors and textured fabrics.
The marble floor also continued all the way through the house even as we headed down the floating staircase with a modern sophisticated glass railing.
At the bottom of the stairs there was a big open room with various setting areas scattered about and a long dining table
with a large cage sphere shaped lighting fixture above it. The whole room was absolutely stunning and clearly designed for entertaining several guest comfortably.
This room was also decorated in shades of soft white with another one of thoes huge glass walls leading out to the pool area. And again the only color in the room was a few touches of black and a lager painting of the tide coming in hanging above the fireplace.
After leaving the living room as he so nonchalantly called it. He took me to a home gym that actually had a different type of flooring. Even though it appeared to be the same white marble as the rest of the house. It felt soft and rubbery underneath my feet but still very smooth to walk on. Which made me curious to know what it was. " What type of floor is this?"I ask giving it a little bounce underneath my feet just to feel the springiness of it.
Once again that devilish grin appear on his handsome face ." The same type of flooring that's inside the play areas at my club. Very easy on the knees." He responded giving me a tap on the end of my nose with his finger tip.
"Oh, okay." I squeaked a bit nervously, giving the room another look to make sure the equipment inside was actually just regular exercise equipment.
Which made Skyler full out laugh ." It's just a home gym, but we could make it into playroom it you're game." He said teasingly between boughs of laughter.
"Maybe "I confessed under my breath. Which made my whole face burst into flames and I became so flustered that I just started babbling uncomfortably " I believe, well I think , I don't know ,maybe, I might like that idea ."
Skyler sputtered another little laugh and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Perhaps we should put a hold on the rest of the house tour for now and go to the club tonight. That way you can see that's something you want to explore."
