By the time Zeph faked his arrival at Los Diablos Plaza Mall it was surrounded by not only Nephilim Enforcement Officers, but Los Diablos Police as well. Other than him responding in his part-time Angel role the LDNE01 Archangel and its team of Guardians arrived first, locking the mall down for security reasons as it was unclear if there was more than one suspect.
With Candi's appointment with a medical doctor at a birthing center located a block away from the mall it didn't take long for Commissioner Vaughn and Captain Nora Halt to respond to the incident once mother and child were given a clean bill of health.
Once Rex and the Vlasordon pack found and confirmed their search target it took them five seconds to spot the little tike at the center of all the chaos that took place and turn their attention toward him, moving into a defensive posture while surrounding the little boy who was balling his eyes out and calling for his mother.
