Chapter 28 - Chapter 26 Magic and Science

"Your talent, even among the Endless Plane, is considered a genius, the most genius of geniuses."

Ove said this from the start, and now he is even more convinced: "Even if it's just exceptional, it's already the top talent I know of."

His original plan was to stay here for one or two weeks, let Lin Ke and the others learn how to "study," "research," and so on, then he would leave, allowing Lin Ke and the others to accumulate on their own and eventually succeed in becoming a [Scholar].

However... he had only been lecturing for a few minutes when this future Viscount of Azanen became a [Scholar].

Andrew's Leg, please do not mock an elderly person who has been unable to advance for a long time...

Ove sighed inwardly, but kept a smile on his face.

He thought this "smile" expression was quite good because it was a "kind and friendly smile" he solidified onto his face through magic.

Though he didn't know it looked quite strange to Lin Ke and the others.

"Teacher, the difference between a genius and a teacher is that a genius is not originally a genius, but encounters a genius teacher, and thus the genius becomes a genius." Lin Ke respectfully bowed his head slightly.

Flattery and such can always be learned if you've been in the system.

"Hmm... let's continue with the class."

Electrified by Lin Ke's flattery, Ove felt a sense of satisfaction: This kid Lin Ke is much more polite than that foolish brute Garoce! See, that's what sensible talk is!

He waved his magic staff, a bunch of crackling purple light points appeared, and then these light points scattered with a "whoosh."

"This is our Naseng Continent, our continent is on a sphere, everywhere else is ocean, and of course, there's another continent."

These light points formed a sphere in the air, with two large protrusions, namely the two continents.

Ove looked through the bookshelf at the three people.

John's eyes were wide open, but he managed not to make any sound, while Knicks couldn't help but let out a small gasp.

Only Lin Ke remained unfazed.

Ove pondered for a moment and asked aloud, "Lin Ke, do you know why this is?"

Why?

Why is it spherical? Because of gravity!

If no external force acts on it, all objects tend to gather towards the center under the influence of gravity.

But what is the essence of gravity? Let's not even mention him, not even Newton knew.

However, Lin Ke certainly wouldn't say this: "Teacher, I don't know why, but I've observed that I know the Naseng Continent we live on is round."

John and Knicks turned their gaze to Lin Ke, full of "why."

Even Ove was a bit curious: "Can you tell me why?"

Lin Ke: "When I look into the distance, people always disappear feet first at the horizon, then the body, and finally the head. If our Naseng were flat, I should be able to see him continuously unless blocked by trees."

This is a simple method to prove that a planet is spherical, although it's more of a hypothesis and not very practical.

John and Knicks couldn't help but nod slowly; some things can be understood more easily once they're articulated.

Ove was also rather surprised: "That's right, although we're surrounded by mountains and forests, it's impressive that you could observe this."

Now he felt Lin Ke was exceptionally outstanding, so much so that he would like to take Lin Ke as a disciple.

However, Ove thought again, this young lord Lin Ke is so wise, calling him teacher was probably just out of respect.

Such a thoughtful child would surely want a teacher who is level twenty-one or higher Celestial Tier legend, and also knowledgeable and powerful.

He's only at level nineteen now, not even twenty, let alone breaking through to Celestial Tier. Truly unfortunate!

"Forget it, I'll teach as best as I can."

Next, Ove adjusted to his position as merely an [Enlightenment Teacher] and began to explain some basic knowledge about Naseng.

For example, Naseng is actually a sphere, and outside, the sun, the moon, and other small spheres orbit Naseng.

And then the stars, those stars are the Faith Domains of Celestial Tier gods and the projections of Celestial Tier legends' own planes.

Further out is the Plane Crystal Wall system, break through this system, and you'll enter the Star Realm.

In the Star Realm, there's an endless array of planes, floating up and down.

Some are just a continent, some are spheres like Naseng, and some are just vast oceans or a void.

Since the advent of the professional system, Celestial Tier pioneers [Scholars] have been breaking through the Plane Crystal Wall system to explore the boundless Star Realm.

Afterward, geniuses invented the Space-Time Teleportation Array, allowing non-Celestial Tier beings to travel to other planes through the array.

Thus began the battles across the endless planes.

Naseng's resources are too limited, and countless powerful people and noble families want to find breakthrough possibilities in the endless planes, after all, the endless planes contain a myriad of resources, cultures, cultivation methods, etc.

Including Lin Ke's father, who is rumored to have spent a great deal of money to purchase a space-time anchor point, and should be conquering that plane at this time.

It's important to know that the basic rules of the world dictate that once Naseng anchors a space-time anchor point on a plane, that plane becomes a subsidiary plane of Naseng.

In other words, Naseng is the Main Plane!

...

So this world is wider than I imagined...

Lin Ke's eyes were filled with amazement.

He always thought this was just a normal planet with stars and satellites.

Unexpectedly, the sun and moon were merely decorations, and the glowing stars were just dependent on the Plane Crystal Wall system's Faith Domains and personal planes.

After finishing the morning's lessons, Lin Ke felt he had gained a lot.

Ove, indeed, was worthy of being on the verge of stepping into legend; his knowledge, insight, abilities, all far surpassed those of Butler Billy and others.

It greatly benefited Lin Ke.

"Remember, the foundation of our world is material; only those as foolish as mermen think the world exists because of them."

In conclusion, Ove wrapped up with a statement that made Lin Ke remember his teacher's philosophical inclination.

In the afternoon, it was time for research.

Although Lin Ke had successfully taken on the [Scholar] role, he had little insight into researching this world; all accumulation and perceptions of professional traits came from his past life.

"Today I'll guide you to perform the simplest research on the use of power."

Outside the forest, Ove flipped his hand, and several round wheels appeared.

No way, pulleys? Lin Ke pondered.

He wanted to learn magic, but Ove was teaching them about pulleys?

Thinking Lin Ke and the others looked down on these small wheels, Ove didn't mind but instead took the wheels back with another flip of his hand and said: "Let me show you my first skill, Power Stacking."

Saying this, Ove walked to a tree, purple light began to glow from his body, and Lin Ke felt waves of professional energy surging.

Then, Ove flicked his finger, and a marble-sized electric orb shot out.

"Crack!" "Crack!" "Crack!"...

In an instant, countless trees snapped in half, and in Lin Ke's line of sight, a dozen thick trees fell.

John and Knicks were dumbfounded, but Lin Ke was thoughtful.

"This is the method of power stacking engraved onto my first skill slot, I only need to move my finger to cause a thousandfold power damage."

Ove briefly explained.

Sure enough, it's a pulley system, including mechanics knowledge... Lin Ke thought, then said: "Teacher, does the angle affect power stacking? Also, does the size and material of the wheels impact the stacking effect?"

This...

Ove, who had just shown off, was momentarily speechless.

This kid, is he really the offspring of that brutish Garoce and that silly girl Fulon?
