Since Bishop Lord was occupied, Russell did not approach to disturb him.
He patiently waited with Cui Que at the door, politely refraining from eavesdropping on their conversation. It wasn't until the old lady's voice suddenly grew louder that Russell knew they had finished their talk.
"Oh my, thank you so much..."
"You're welcome. It's what I should do."
Bishop Lord nodded, his expression solemn, "Please accept my condolences."
"You have worked hard too," sighed the old man, but his face did not show any sorrowful expression.
After watching the old man leave the Church, Bishop Lord turned his head and looked towards Russell with an inquisitive gaze.
Russell then stepped half of his body out of the shadow, with his hands in his coat pockets, while Cui Que quietly remained behind him in the shadow.
"That old lady, did she come to ask you to say a prayer for the dying?"
He casually asked, "I heard you mentioning something about grieving."
