If Russell still harbored any sliver of hope for what the Bishop Lord had said, that hope disappeared completely when he realized that he had been led to the front of the Prayer Device.
He stood among the nuns with Cui Que. The other churchgoers who had come to listen to the sacred hymns and pray silently looked curiously at Russell and Cui Que, who were brought over by the Bishop Lord himself.
However, their curiosity did not extend to asking what had happened; they merely glanced over. Only a few recognized Russell and felt a sense of familiarity but dared not confirm their suspicions.
Amid the symphonic sounds of the hymns, Russell sighed and said softly to Cui Que behind him, "Don't be so nervous, Floddi. Find a free device and give praying a try... Weren't you curious about what those nuns were doing yesterday?"
