Arturo's POV
After that whole incident, the train stopped at the next nearest station, and I got off quickly with my belongings, before going to the nearest police station to file a report the incident. In response to that, the police at that station, who also received calls from the train driver and train station, eventually accepted my report, before asking me if I did something to deescalate the situation in the train.
"I cleared the train car of people just in case the bomb exploded," I replied back briefly and calmly.
The police were astonished at my brave act that saved lives.
"Wow, you did, young man?"
"That was smart of you!"
I nodded. "Yes, it's one of the first things you should do when facing a bad, threatening situation, especially in crowded areas."
Because of that, the police commended my bravery with a medal of bravery, much to my humble pride. Man, the same day I arrived here in Japan is the same day I received a medal of bravery for saving lives. What in the actual world…?
But a bit later, I realised that I was running late for the admission for university admission here in Yokohama. So, I turned to the same police officers and asked them where the Tala University of Yokohama.
"Oh, that one?" replied one of the police officers. "Just 3 blocks from here, and turn right, and you'll see a campus with a marble main entrance gate."
"And inside it," another officer added, "you'll see a gothic-style church that was owned by the university."
Processing their answer and writing them down in my notepad with a ballpoint pen, I responded back, "Thanks, sir, because I'll be a freshman at that university."
"Oh, is that so?" one of the police officers asked back. "Good luck with that."
"Yes, thanks, sir. I'll be going now."
With that, I left the police station with my belongings and went to the university using the directions the police officers gave me. After much searching, I finally found it, and it did match the description the officers gave me. The university was huge, and its campus was big and spacious. A gothic church stood right from the main entrance gate. The sign was big enough for me to see from the outside of the walled fence.
So, with vigor and courage, I took a deep breath and applied for admission. There, I submitted my letter of offer that I had received a few days ago to one of the faculty staff members. She received it, read it carefully, and nodded at me after confirming my admission and entry into this university, much to my joy and relief. Now I am a student and a freshman at this university overseas. The first day of class will start next Monday, and today is Friday.
