Half an hour later, outside the Northern Underground Palace, Emperor Ziyan, accompanied by the Chief Steward, had already emerged from within.
Emperor Ziyan's complexion was still very poor, evidently angered.
However, with the Chief Steward's side-by-side comforting and cajoling, he refrained from executing all the gardeners within the Northern Underground Palace.
"Let's hope so."
He replied coldly to the Chief Steward with these five words.
"Your Majesty, please be at ease, that thief certainly won't be able to escape..."
'Boom, boom boom!'
Before the Chief Steward could finish speaking, a thunderous rumble was heard.
Subsequently, the ground beneath their feet began to tremble, throwing everyone off balance.
"What's going on?"
No sooner had Emperor Ziyan spoken than tripping over his own right foot as he tried to step forward with his left, he fell to the ground.
Seeing this, the Chief Steward hurriedly steadied himself and helped Emperor Ziyan up.
