Katie Hades was momentarily stunned, her smile fading away as she looked up at the handsome face of the man before her.
He was so gentle in that moment, his deep dark eyes so soft they seemed as though they could drip water, sending her heart into a flutter.
A sourness welled up in her chest, and she suddenly hugged his waist tightly before burying her head in his chest, her slender body trembling slightly.
"You said it..." her voice was muffled and hoarse, "just don't back out on me when I act like a little woman!"
