Wen Ran, of course, was reserved for the Snake Demon's exclusive enjoyment, while Shen Wu was allotted to its long-starved brood of snake offspring.
Amidst the encirclement of such a massive group of black snakes, Shen Wu emerged unscathed, an event utterly unbelievable.
Shen Wu nonchalantly said, "I just walked out."
"That's impossible!"
"What's impossible about it? I killed them all, didn't I? So I could walk out."
Hearing this, the Snake Demon was furious, "You seek death!"
Shen Wu lifted Wen Ran by the collar, dodging the fierce blow of the snake tail, and at the spot where they had just stood, a crack was struck open by the tail.
He asked Wen Ran, "It was such an ugly creature that transformed into my likeness to deceive you?"
In his words, there was a tone of "How could you be fooled by something so ugly, are you stupid?"
Wen Ran retorted, "I wasn't fooled by it at all!"
"Good thing you aren't completely foolish."
Wen Ran wanted to kick him but thought about how she still needed him for survival and restrained herself!
The illusion abilities of this Snake Demon were truly extraordinary, otherwise, it wouldn't have troubled so many people. It could transform into the appearance of anyone, to confuse people's minds. If one's mind wasn't firm, they would only become a slave to desire.
They spoke as if nobody else was present, which only further enraged the Snake Demon. Its eyes turned blood-red as it opened its blood-thirsty maw, the enormous body starting to move. In this empty space, its body occupied two-thirds of the area, an imposing sight.
Shen Wu lifted Wen Ran by the collar, repeatedly dodging attacks, causing the giant snake to occasionally crash into the walls, creating pits in the stone.
Wen Ran, being whisked around by Shen Wu, felt dizzy and nauseous, yet she suppressed her discomfort and said, "I can try drawing a Teleportation Array again."
Shen Wu curiously asked, "Are you planning to escape?"
"We need to escape!" Wen Ran was pale, her voice feeble, "You don't have a sword now, and I'm injured. We're not a match for this Great Demon. Even the Master had to use considerable effort to subdue it in the past. I know you're powerful, but in our current situation, we must flee."
Shen Wu suddenly stopped, looking at her with a strange expression for quite a while.
Wen Ran didn't understand why he was acting crazy, and seeing the enormous snake swing its tail with tremendous force again, she exclaimed, "Shen Wu!"
He raised his hand casually, and a barrier appeared in the air, effortlessly blocking the giant snake's attack.
Not just Wen Ran, even the Snake Demon seemed startled. Its scarlet eyes stared at Shen Wu, suddenly realizing that despite the relentless pursuit and attacks, the young man in white had not even lost his breath, as if he had been playing a game rather than fleeing.
He blinked his clear black-and-white eyes, murmuring, "Actually, I'm quite strong."
Wen Ran couldn't help but think of the children she once saw in kindergarten, who when telling their teacher they had eaten two bowls of rice that day, had a look wanting affirmation, much like this.
He asked again, "What did you just say?"
"...I've said many things, which one are you referring to?"
"The one where I said I'm deeply attached to you."
Wen Ran felt a wave of embarrassment, her pale face showing a hint of blush, "What exactly do you want to say?"
"Remember what I said after admitting my deep feelings for you?"
His expression was overly serious, unlike one who was teasing her.
Wen Ran thought for a moment, then awkwardly said, "If it dared to touch me, you would surely chop it into pieces, grind its bones to dust..."
"Good."
Good what?
Shen Wu laughed, "I'll chop it into pieces and grind its bones to dust."
He slowly stepped out of the protection of the barrier, and compared to the giant snake that coiled with its head almost touching the upper stone wall, his slender figure seemed incredibly frail.
Just as Wen Ran was about to speak, she saw a sharp blade materializing in his hand.
It was a broadsword, extremely black, reflecting a cold gleam in the candlelight, with a straight, narrow blade, upright without any decoration, striking an odd contrast with his all-white attire; the black and white collision seemed eerie at this moment.
The young man lifted the sword, pointing directly at the giant snake, and facing its scarlet eyes, he smiled fearlessly, "You seem stronger than those other demons. I hope you can last longer, so I can enjoy myself."
"Arrogant!" The Snake Demon's scales seemed to stand on end, it howled skyward, two horns appeared on its head, and its long body sprouted four limbs—this Snake Demon actually showed signs of Flood Dragon Transformation!
Wen Ran, merely watching from the side, couldn't help but feel anxious; she had lived in this world for so long and had never encountered such a Great Demon!
Shen Wu's lips curled into a smile, satisfaction flickering in his picturesque features as the Great Demon bowed down, he lightly leaped forward.
When Wen Ran saw Shen Wu charging up, she realized something was not right.
Every move of Shen Wu was fierce and domineering, with each action carrying a singular purpose—fearlessly charge forward to slay. He didn't even spare a thought for dodging, yet his approach, reckless and defying conventional logic, forced the opponent into defensive retreat, unable to launch a deadly strike.
Wen Ran, having learned Swordsmanship, knew a bit about moves, though the way of swords and knives differ, still, she couldn't discern any technique from Shen Wu's actions—his movements were all spontaneous, utterly unstructured, rendering it impossible to predict his next strike.
This is a lunatic!
The Snake Demon had lived for hundreds of years, yet for the first time, it was overpowered by a young man's aura. Shen Wu remained nimble within its defenses, evading the guarding tail, and with a few leaps on its massive body, in the blink of an eye, he reached its head.
The image in the Snake Demon's eyes drew nearer, and as Shen Wu wielded the blade closer, it even saw the widening smile on his lips.
The next moment, the blade pierced into the giant snake's eye.
With a scream, the Snake Demon frantically contorted its body, flinging Shen Wu off its head, but he, as elusive as a phantom, with a mere toe tap on the wall, again brought the blade forward, and this time, the Snake Demon's other eye was gone too.
Blood splattered onto him, further staining his already blood-drenched white attire red again.
The pervasive scent of blood seemed to stimulate him more; the pure smile on Shen Wu's face gradually gave way to excitement. The light in his dark eyes was unmistakable to anyone around, clearly showcasing the rare joy he was indulging in at the moment.
