( 3rd pov)
we see a girl reading a weapons magazine listening to music. in the background unbeknownst to her a group of men walked in the store with bad intentions.
the leader, (flicking his cigar) "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?"
the shopkeeper is scared and says, "please just take my lein and leave I don't want any trouble."
the leader says "don't worry were not after your lein we want your dust. get started boys."
as they start robbing the place one henchmen notices that there's someone else in the store and walks up to her and says " hey kid put your hands in the air"
the girl oblivious to what's happening around her just continues to listen to music and read.
the henchmen then grabs her shoulder and says " i said hands in the air" as he notices the music and he gesture for her to take them off and she complies.
the girl asks, " can I help you?"
the henchman says, " put your hands in the air."
she then asks " are you .... robing me?"
the man says " yesss!"
she then says " ohhhhh."
as this was happening, we see someone in the distance watching what was happening. the person is Doryu watching with an amused smile as the henchman goes flying through the window.
he then sees the girl flying through the window and pulls out her weapon and pose and she says, "let's do this."
( Doryu Pov)
well, that was badass as that will always be one of my favorite scenes form the series. she has gotten stronger at least and serious at what she's doing. roman is watching her to see if he should run now or if he can beat her.
I'm not going to intervene unless necessary as this will get ruby in beacon. roman seems to notice he doesn't stand a chance and uses his cane to shoot an explosive and run. ruby seems to make sure if she can go after him after checking the shopkeeper.
she runs after him, and I follow to make sure she is safe and watch for any problems. they seem to Battle a bit as she is starting to overwhelm him, and he makes a last-ditch effort to get away into the bullhead and it works as he then throws some dust near ruby and shoots it, and it explodes.
I then see him laughing as then the smoke clears and i see Glynda goodwitch and ruby in a shield. he notices her and goes to cockpit and gets cinder and she then starts shooting them with the maiden powers but only half as expected.
after cinder sees that she isn't going to win she makes a big portion of the roof explode as Glynda is forced to let them go. I watch cinder leave and turn to ruby and Glynda as I start walking to them as i hear ruby get excited about meeting her.
I chuckle as I get close and say " well ruby you've gotten a bit better still could improve but you're at least at the professional level. hope you have been doing what i asked."
as i said that they both look at me as ruby suddenly disappears and jump hugs me and says " Doryu your back I missed you so much how are you what have you been doing did you make any new weapons did you see anything cool ohh how was menagerie."
I stop her and say, " calm down ruby ill answer your questions and I missed you as well my little red reaper." as i hug her back as I'm hugging her, I hear Glynda speak.
" Excuse me but I'm going to need to take her into custody as she fought and caused some property damage."
ruby looks at her shocked and begins to say that she didn't start it and more, but I stop her and say, " ruby it will be fine let's go with her we can catch up later." she looks sad about it but nods.
as we then go with Glynda at first, she only wanted to take ruby but as I wasn't letting her go and ruby doing the same clinging to me like a koala, she didn't say anything. as we walked into the police station, I had ruby let go as I knew that I wasn't going to be allowed to go with her.
she told me "You'll be here after right if you're not I'm Sicking yang on you."
I chuckled and nodded as she went into interrogation. after waiting a bit, I see someone familiar a certain blonde girl yang, so I sneak near her and speak. " Well, hello there miss would be looking for some company?"
she didn't even look at me and said, " sorry buster but I'm busy please leave me alone."
I then spoke in a fake hurt voice " wow not even for someone you haven't seen for a few years ouch that hurts. I was hoping you would keep me company guess I'll go to my red reaper then." I started to walk away as she spun around so quick, I thought she hurt herself.
she saw me then yelled my name and jumped on me and gave me a hug and I hugged her back and said " i missed you my golden dragon so much. I'm sorry I wasn't able to contact you I was really busy."
she didn't say anything as we hugged. after a while she said " I really missed you, I knew you would be busy so don't beat yourself up. I saw you in the mistral tournament as always you won."
I chuckled at her, and we started catching up as I then noticed someone coming and had an idea and I asked her " so did your old man find someone yet or did he keep scaring them off with his ugly mug and his bad puns?"
she chuckled as I noticed tai listening in, she said, " no he hasn't yet but I did see him with some girl but I'm not sure if his puns scared her off my moneys on his puns as they'll never be as good as mine."
I chuckled and said, " of course their "yangtastic" but I'd still prefer your pretty face over his mug any day."
I then notice him walking to us and yelled " hey ill have you know I'm handsome to a lot of ladies and my puns are the "taik" of the town thank you very much. and i see you finally made it back you handsome bastard."
I groan at his awful pun and say, " well beacon is in 2 weeks and your puns are still horrible and I know I'm handsome thank you."
he sighed and smiled at me then said " well it hasn't been the same since you left and I wasn't expecting to see you. I'm sure you got stronger, but can you tell me what happened to ruby."
I nodded and explained what happened as we then see ruby exit with Glynda and ozpin. I look at ozpin and decide to speak to him. " Hello headmaster ozpin I'm sure you heard of me, but my name is Doryu dragonsvayne and i was hoping we could speak about a couple things."
he looked at me and said " yes mr dragonsvayne the one qrow was talking about and the one who helped menagerie nice to meet you. im not able to talk right now but do you have time tomorrow we can meet in my office?"
I nodded then said, " sure that works thank you I'll be seeing you tomorrow." he nodded and left with Glynda.
after they left, we talked to ruby, and she said that she gets to go to beacon early. we then headed to the house after we get there, I tell them about what I was doing over the past few years.
they aren't too surprised but after finding out about the harem tai started glaring at me but didn't do anything. we went to bed after catching up a bit.
the next morning, I get up and meditate as usual and my instincts have settled down for the most part. I can tell I'm really possessive and I haven't really had too much pride probably because I know I'm not the strongest, but I also know I will never submit.
after a few hours of meditating, I walk back inside and see tai cooking breakfast. I talk to him about some small things but i ask " so I thought you were with someone again what happened?"
he sighed and said " well I was seeing someone, but someone attacked her and from what I heard you helped make sure she lived by fending off her attacker. it was a few months ago that happened but before we got there you were gone probably chasing after her attacker."
I thought about it and it clicked as I said " no way you're dating that girl and she hasn't healed yet? maybe the damage was deeper than i thought and i assume that ozpin is watching over her."
he nodded and spoke " yeah he is watching over her and what he said is that you healed her surface injuries, but her soul is still hurt and that's why she didn't wake yet."
as he said that I facepalm and say " sorry about leaving her like that and honestly that wasn't even me per say but one of my abilities. that one was a clone and it only had so much power and I had no way of healing her all the way through it."
he sighed and said " it's alright but I'm assuming that since you said that you have a way to fully heal her. if so when you go to oz, I'll go with you, and you can heal her if you want."
I looked at him and said, " tai she will be healed I promise you that so don't get depressed and be happy that she will be back soon."
he smiled at me and said, " your right its just brought back some memories but whatever."
I smirked and said, " so how long were you guys dating it sounds like you love her a lot."
he laughed and said " yeah, we've been together for about a year and a half now. I truly love her she thinks I'm very punny."
I groaned and said " really tai c'mon you just had to do one. whatever as i see that breakfast is almost done, I'll get the girls up."
later on, tai and I were on our way to beacon to talk to oz. once we got there, we went to the elevator and saw Glynda working on a few things and she joined us to go to oz.
once we exited the elevator, I saw oz drinking cocoa so i spoke " hello headmaster nice to see you again."
oz said, " yes Mr. Dragonsvayne it is, I'm sure we both have other things to talk but if what tai said is true then that takes urgency."
I nodded as he then led us to where amber was and she looked a bit better as I healed her a bit, but her soul is still fractured. having half of the maiden ripped from your soul would do that.
I see tai looking at her with hope that she'll be fine, and oz speaks " if you will please heal her, it would be much appreciated then we can talk."
I nodded and walked up to her and put my hand out and used soul heal but not without a price as I could feel her pain 10 times of what she felt. i grit my teeth and groan in pain as I feel a bit of blood flow from my nose from my pain.
tai noticed it and was about to say to stop but then she had a bit of light around her, and she shot up breathing hard. I stop and step back so tai can see her as i wipe my nose and take a deep breath as my regen kicks in. oz and Glynda look at me with a bit of worry and i say " well that was painful."
they all looked at me weirdly, but I don't care oz then makes sure she is fine, and we then head back up as tai and amber reunite.
we are in the office and he and i are sitting at his desk with Glynda next to him he spoke first " so now that that is dealt with and thank you by the way what can i do for you?"
I spoke " well there's a few but I wanted to make a deal with you as i already am above the students and I want to say a bit above the teachers in strength and intelligence. I'm hoping to instead of being a student a teacher."
oz looked at me with an amused smile as Glynda looked a bit angry, but oz said, "sorry but i don't think we can accept you as a teacher. "Glynda looked relieved but it changed at what oz said next " but you are right as you're at a level where hunters would have a hard time keeping up and so I will do this instead. you will technically be a student but as i know of your intelligence and power you don't have to attend classes but will help teach some students. for your team we will place you with a few as would jump between and help watch over them in a way."
I nodded and said " I'm fine with that but I'm choosing the teams i jump to as I don't want to be in a team that bullies others or doesn't respect others" I said that thinking of team cardinal as they were a bunch of assholes.
he then said, " that's fair and is it possible for you to give a few classes in weapons and martial arts?"
I nodded and we spoke about some details as tai and amber came back up. amber walked up to me and said, " thank you Doryu for helping me I'd probably be dead soon if not for you."
I shook my head and said, " I don't think you would've died as you're a fighter and I don't understand how you got together with him and his ugly mug."
she laughed as tai yelled at me and she said, " well it just happened but I'm happy with him and his ugly mug."
after she said that I then started pouting and we laughed at his expense. tai soon got over it and looked at me and said, " Doryu are you alright now and can you explain what you did?"
I looked at him and sighed " what i did does not leave this room and as for what i did was i healed her soul. her soul would heal over time but i healed it for a price as fractured souls usually do. I'm fine but the price for healing fractured souls is for me receiving 10 x the pain. the reason i had a bloody nose was because my nerves were being overloaded by pain."
they looked at me in shock as oz said, " that is amazing and you're sure your fine now?"
I nodded and said, " my regen helped but anyone else would have dies from pain overload."
Glynda looked at me with worry and respect and said, " you have my respect mr dragonsvayne as not many would do that."
I shook my head and said," I did it Cuz I could and for my friend's happiness."
tai and amber thanked me again and we finished talking as we talked about the maidens and more but i knew about it. we left for patch with amber and decided to rest the rest of the day.
