EARLY MORNING – MU FAMILY MANSION
The first light of dawn seeped through the sheer curtains, casting a soft golden glow across the bedroom.
Zi Xin blinked away the faint sleepiness in his eyes as he stretched his stiff shoulders. He had dozed off slightly on his study chair, his sketchbook resting open on the table. Rubbing his tired eyes, he turned to look at his brother.
Mu Zi Xuan was still curled up under the blankets, sleeping peacefully now, his face relaxed with no trace of the tears from last night.
His chest rose and fell in quiet rhythm, his small hand still gripping a corner of the blanket near his lips.
Zi Xin walked over quietly and sat at the edge of the bed. He reached out and gently brushed a few stray strands of hair away from Zi Xuan's forehead.
"Xuan… It's morning already…" he whispered softly, his voice low and warm.
Mu Zi Xuan stirred under the blankets, blinking his sleepy eyes open.
