A few months ago..
It was noon on my birthday I had just finished football practice and took a shower as usual, after school Lilian and Marco gave me their gifts, Lilian gave me a chain for my pendant and Marco gave me tickets to the John Legend Concert,
"That was amazing" said Lilian as we took a walk back home after dropping off Marco.
"Yeah I gotta thank Marco again that concert was incredible"
"So are you having the best birthday ever"
"It's only the best because I spent it with the people I love"
"Oh so you love me"
"No, I mean, yes, I mean..."
"It's okay, I was just joking, me and you, yeah right" said Lilian laughing
"Yeah"
I didn't know why but I felt hurt when she laughed at the thought of both of us together, it just felt painful.
We walked for a while until we got to a crossroad where we would part ways for the night,
"So I'll see you later" I said
"Yeah bye"
She was about to leave, when someone spoke from behind us.
"Okay boys that's our cue"
I and Lilian turned around to see to see three guys all of them wore jeans and black hoodies shielding their faces, I stood protectively in front of Lilian,
"Who are you" I said
"C'mon it can't be that hard to figure out" said the guy in the middle
"Jaden that voice I know him" said Lilian
That was when the guy removed the hood revealing himself, he had wavy blonde hair and green eyes.
"Corner!" said Lilian.
"Wait do you mean the Corner, the one that left you for another girl"
"Oh so you've heard about me, it's cute that you talk about your biggest accomplishments"
"You mean my biggest regrets"
"Potato Potato"
"We don't want any trouble we're just passing through"
"Of course you don't"
Corner brought out a steel pipe out of his bag
"But we do"
Corner cam full speed towards Lilian and was about to swing the pipe when I came right in front of him and pipe hit me across the head,
"Leave her alone, don't you dare hurt her"
I was on the floor, I could feel the warm trace of blood on my face, but I didn't care all I could see was Lilian
"You know what, you're right I won't hurt her", he snapped his fingers towards his boys, they grabbed her and placed her down on the floor, my vision was being hazy and I could barely see a thing.
"I won't hurt her I'll do far worse"
He dropped the pipe on the floor and went towards Lilian, that's when she started screaming,
"Get off me, GET OFF ME!"
I felt useless, weak and helpless at the fact that I couldn't even protect my friend, I didn't know was happening to me, all I knew was that I felt a great rush of anger and determination, I stood up from the floor and looked at the image in front of me, Corner was on top of Lilian, I creased my brows and yelled Corner's name oblivious to the fact that my hair was silver and my irises were gold"
...
From here Lilian continued...
"I was hitting Corner as hard as I could but he was still persistent,
"Corner what a re you doing"
"I'm taking you back, now hold still"
That was when I saw a bright light coming from behind him.
"Corner !!!"
Corner stood up from me and was astonished as he saw who was standing before him, the two guys holding me down had run away and I was finally free, but who was that, what was that
"Stay away from her" said the ethereal creature.
Corner ran and grabbed the pipe from the floor and charged towards the creature, the creature rushed towards him at an incredible speed and punched him, Corner was sent flying and finally landed with his back on the floor, I was shocked and scared and moved back instinctively as the creature walked closer to me,
"Lilian it's okay it's me"
That's when the light surrounding him had died down and the face of Jad n appeared, although he had silver hair and golden eyes , just by his voice I could tell it was him.
"Jaden ?"
I looked at him from head to toe,
"What happened to you"
"I.... don't....know"
And then he collapsed on the floor.
I panicked and fumbled for my phone and called his mom, then I just waited wondering what had happened to my friend and why his pendant was glowing.
