As the words landed, the Fire Sword swung, and the fire raged forth like a dragon's breath, charging directly at the Drought.
A lightning bolt descended from the sky with a thunderous roar, striking the half-leaning Big Locust Tree. With a deafening crash, the tree split into pieces; the grave that once held the Drought was also struck, and the flames soared to the sky, devouring the leaves and branches of the tree, which crackled loudly in the blaze.
The firelight illuminated everyone's faces, and for a moment, they were all too stunned to speak.
The enormous body of the Drought was consumed by the flames; its gaze remained calm, without pain or resentment, as it slowly closed its eyes.
The great fire burned everything clean, along with the past entanglements, all vanished in the firelight.
