Xu Tingting's gaze darted away, flitting about as if she dared not look at him. Just then the server brought over the grilled skewers, and she quickly took one and handed it to him.
"Have some skewers."
Xu Shu didn't take it, his eyes fixed on her like a hawk's.
It seemed as if he was trying to draw out all her guilt with his stare.
Xu Tingting bravely pushed the skewer forward again, "Try it, everyone says it's delicious, so it must be."
Xu Shu hummed softly before finally taking a bite.
Xu Tingting ate with gusto, apparently really hungry, quickly finishing four or five skewers. The spiciness turned her lips a slight red. Reaching for a tissue in habit, she found the box empty, and called out, "Boss, bring a pack of tissues."
Xu Shu's expression darkened in an instant.
He finally understood what had changed about Xu Tingting.
Compared to the past, the air of the streets was too strong on her.
