Caine found himself being drawn across space and time to the forehead of Rowan, and he was nearly killed by the heavy fumes of death emerging from the pores of Rowan's skin.
The killing blade he had driven into the head of Rowan was still in place and had not been removed, and the top half of his head was going black with what appeared to be necrosis, and gray fumes of death were pouring out from his head in significant volumes.
If his decaying head was any problem to him, Rowan did not give any indication. His perception was wrapped around Caine as if to prevent him from escaping, while an unknown force, powerful beyond belief, was directing Caine's body back to the sword.
In the blink of an eye, he was in front of his sword, and then he thought he saw someone in front of him, harshly blinking his eyes and pushing his perception forward, he confirmed that there was indeed someone there in front of him, standing still beside the sword.
