Chapter 298 - Completely Disappeared

Eyes returned to the island, the sword beams having vanished from sight. The monster stood still, its mouth agape, the energy orb within long gone.

"Surely Mr. Li Yue's sword beams had some effect on the monster," everyone thought, recalling the clash. The power of Li Yue's sword beams was evident to all. No one believed the monster could emerge unscathed.

Indeed, the monster wasn't unscathed. Despite its skin appearing unmarked, it had suffered severe internal injuries. The external wounds had quickly healed, but the internal damage caused by Li Yue's space energy was irreparable. The energy infiltrated its body, relentlessly consuming its flesh and vital organs. With its brain severed by the sword beams, the monster couldn't react or resist as the energy ravaged its insides.

...

"Look! There's blue light coming from the monster's chest!" someone shouted.

The space energy had devoured the monster's upper body, starting to consume its outer skin from within. Blue light shone through the monster's skin, forming circular blue spots that grew larger and covered its entire body. The energy first consumed the upper body, preventing the monster from collapsing immediately. As the energy moved to its tail and legs, the monster's body finally crumbled, unable to stand any longer.

Even as the monster's body fell apart, its remains caused severe environmental pollution. Within seconds, a hundred-meter radius around the monster's location turned yellow and withered.

...

"Even with precautions, the pollution is severe. If the Jaegers had fought this monster conventionally, the whole island would be contaminated," Li Yue sighed, marvelling at the aliens' biotechnological prowess. As he pondered, the monster's remains completely vanished, consumed by the space energy.

The site where the monster fell was now a desolate, dry area, once lush with vegetation. Withered grass and trees starkly contrasted the island's former greenery, symbolizing the monster's impact.

With one last look at the contaminated area, Li Yue showed no joy or sorrow. He had controlled the situation as best he could. Then, he disappeared from the sky, returning to the others.

"Li Yue, you're amazing!" Lin Yu Rou exclaimed, her eyes filled with admiration as she spotted Li Yue returning.

"Mr. Li Yue, are you really human?" Newton, Herman, and Chloe turned, their gazes fixed on Li Yue, filled with awe and disbelief.

...

Following this, Li Yue had no further concerns. The monster formed by countless dinosaurs had vanished entirely, leaving the island devoid of dinosaurs. With John Hammond, the project's financier and leader, dead, the Jurassic Park project had failed.

Though Li Yue confessed to killing Hammond, those who saw his display of power against the monster knew better than to speak out. They kept silent, lacking evidence and understanding that no one could punish Li Yue, given his strength.

Hammond's death was officially attributed to a rampaging dinosaur, making him the sole casualty of the incident. With support from the Hong Kong Shatterdome, planes and ships evacuated all personnel from the island.

The once unique island, home to dinosaurs, was abandoned, with no one choosing to live there.

...

Days later, amidst the overgrown grass in a secluded area of the island, lay a nest with a dozen white eggs, each the size of a soccer ball. Cracks began to form on one egg, spreading until the shell shattered, revealing a tiny head. Curious eyes peered out at the world.

Li Yue had known about these eggs from his earlier scans but chose not to destroy them, leaving their fate to chance. If they survived and thrived, it would be a miracle of life. He believed, as the mathematician in Jurassic Park said, "Life finds a way." And Li Yue did not wish to hinder that path.
