The last passing days Lynx did his usual tasks carrying on with his life, like every other day Lynx was out venturing again with Iron 99 by his side. They walked carefully and steadily as usual as Lynx carried the buckets in hand, two poles strapped across his back with a bag. He walked cautiously at a regular pace, like every other day he was out venturing for materials and food. As he was passing through an area circulated with dilapidated buildings something caught his attention and he immediately hid without a second glance or thought and Iron 99 followed him. Lynx hid behind the walls' of a building and slowly peeped from his hiding space, he saw it was people who came the from above. The Skylanders passed through the air from above and he knew he had to remain hiding and avoid them at any cost, his heart raced within his chest as he tried not to panic, trying to calm himself down, his body trembled a bit, but he kept it under control. After waiting for a while sensing the air was safer he slowly crept from his hiding. Lynx needed to collect supplies so he continued his journey and tried his best not to run into any of the Skylanders, as when people came from the above they would pick on the one's below, killing them and causing damage. As he kept walking he somehow stumbled upon the Skylanders again and hid once more, he hid behind a large boulder silently overhearing bits of their conversation and what he heard made his heart shudder. The Skylanders were discussing to make their way to a massive garbage hill that wasn't far from them, Lynx peeped once peeped out seeing that they were taking off, he already knew what would happen if the garbage hill was to collapse. Pushing his fear aside he rushed from his hiding and called out to the Skylanders, Lynx knew that he was facing death but he had to, he couldn't just stay still and watch everything crumble without trying.
The Skylanders eventually heard Lynx through the thick fog and looked at the boy who was waving to grab there attention, they smiled seeing him and decided to investigate. Lynx saw them approaching him and he knew there was no turning back. The Skylanders reached close to Lynx and dropped themselves to the ground standing a few meters from him, Iron 99 then ran over to Lynx wanting to protect him even though he was told to stay put. Iron 99 started barking at the three people before him as he could sense hostility, Lynx knew why Iron 99 was barking as he tried calming him down. The three Skylanders looked over at Lynx who was wrapped in bandages all over with a dirty appearance and the unusual creature that was barking. The Skylanders wore body fitted black looking suits that covered from their neck straight to their feet. One of them started walking closer to Lynx and in a giggly mocking voice he started mocking Lynx's and Iron 99's appearance.
"You poor dirty lowly child and what is that hideous disfigured creature?" he asked in a polite, but mocking tone. Lynx found it offensive not to him but the man mocked Iron 99 looks. Lynx eyebrows sharpen, but then he relaxed the tension from his face brushing it in the back of his head.
"The garbage hill over there I ask you not to bother it", Lynx said as he pointed.
"And why not?" the man asked smiling intrigued.
"Because if that hill tips over it might damage the community not far from it and not only that Rampagers might live there and you might wake them" Lynx explained in a calm voice, he knew he might be talking to deaf ears but it was the best he could do.
"Rampagers? What are those?" the man questioned with a raised brow.
"They're large monsters that destroy anything in their path and will kill people"
With that description the man knew exactly what Lynx was talking about, but on Skyland they were called Core Beast and then he started laughing.
"You hear that guys now we know where the Core Beasts are" the man grinned as he spoke.
He turned on his heel from Lynx walking off and then fiber like wires burst from his body creating a thick armor like material that formed from his feet bringing him higher to the air before covering his arms and face. Lynx stood there astonished as he watched the man transform before his eyes, it was his first time seeing someone from Skyland transform and it was truly fascinating. As they were about to take off with their heads still in the direction of the garbage hill Lynx snapped back to his senses and shouted at them again telling them to stop. He started following them shouting desperately pleading for them to stop. The man now in his Robotic form thought of Lynx as an annoying brat, he turned around only to use his hand swatting Lynx away who's back hit the surface of a wall that was a distance away, his world flashed black for a second as he grunted feeling the pain shock through his back as it made contact with the wall. Iron 99 barked rushing over to Lynx trying to provide support in whatever way he could, the three Robotic people started walking away again. Lynx could not allow them the capsize the garbage hill he needed to stop them, but what could a weak powerless boy do. He took a megaphone from the back of Iron 99 and scream into it pleading once more to them not to bother the garbage hill, he created the megaphone few days ago but he hadn't named his invention as yet. They didn't care about what Lynx was saying, the man who hit Lynx earlier was the same man who was mocking him and the same man who wanted to hit him again. He wanted to crush Lynx as if he was a mere insect, but his teammates told him not to waste time and with that they carried on with two of them lifting the other one who didn't have a flying ability.
Lynx knew what would happen and he needed to warn everyone at AE quickly, as he made movements to stand he felt tremendous pain all over. The hit he received had dislocated his arm and sprained his ankle and he was feeling a sharp sufferable pain in his back. When he got swatted away a few tools scattered from his bag, he looked around frantically and upon seeing what he was looking for he pointed at it sending Iron 99 to fetch it. When he got the small square looking object he pressed on a button as he was feeling weak and might lose consciousness at any moment, but he did his best and spoke.
"You all have to leave the area, get as far away from AE as possible or else you'll all die", Lynx warned before releasing the button. His breathing felt ragged, that short message had taken so much out of him.
Lynx then placed the recorder in Iron 99's collar and told him to give it to Ave or someone else and he should hurry. Iron 99 didn't want to leave Lynx especially since he was hurt, but Lynx told him to go shouting demandingly and so he reluctantly obeyed. Iron 99 left Lynx. The Skylanders already reached the garbage hill as they stood at it's foot trying to come up with a plan as to how they should pull it apart, one of the man suggested they should hit it over and the Core Beast would simply show itself. Iron 99 was flying to AE as fast as his installed wings could go, but time was shorten while dodging obstacles as he could only fly about ten feet's from the ground. Within less than a hour Iron 99 reached the community and rushed to the building where Ave normally was. As he entered he started barking relentlessly. Ave was only a few steps away, when she heard the noise recognizing it belonged to Iron 99 she walked towards it. When Iron 99 saw her he stopped barking and lifted his head and used his leg awkwardly rubbing against his collar. It looked at Iron 99 a bit confused as she didn't understand as Lynx did. It took Ave a few seconds to figure out what he was trying to do, she finally realized something was attached to his collar and carefully pull it out. She looked at the hand size object within her palm, her eyes focused on the two buttons that were displayed. Following her instincts she touched a greenish colored button and as she did she got startled as she heard sounds coming from it. She was amazed by the little talking box as her mind started flooding with curious fascinated questions, she heard her name coming from the box with Lynx's statistic cracking voice. Before her curiosity could roam further she heard the message, she was shocked hearing the news and was stunned by Lynx's new invention, but there was not time to think about that. Knowing Lynx the message he sent was no trick and so she needed to take immediate actions.
Lynx was fighting his mind not to fall asleep as he slowly started moving, making his way to AE and he needed no find cover, no man standing out in the open survived long. The Skylanders couldn't accumulate a decent plan to tear the Garbage Hill apart and so they decided to knock it down and get their job over with and hoped a Core Beast was there. Ave ran to their emergency room and sounded the emergency alarm which made everyone felt panicked as they never used the emergency alarm, the sound was even loud enough to attract monsters, which meant if the alarm was being used the situation must be dire to look pass that. Leader Mitt burst in furious to find whoever sounded the alarm without his permission. Seeing his daughter he was stunned, but knowing his daughter it must have been for great reasons. Before any questions were asked she started explaining everything without taking a breath and his eyes widen with horror upon hearing the news. They rushed out to warn everyone but it was already too late. Everyone heard loud noises that pounded through the air as they all focused their gaze towards the direction silently as fear pierced their hearts. The loud pounding sounds drummed their hearts rhythmically and the situation pierced them to their feet's preventing them from moving. Before anything could be done they saw garbage coming from the sky.
"Run!" Leader Mitt shouted on top of his lungs as loud as he could breaking his own voice, he shouted so loud he felt his throat splitting.
Everyone was more panicked than before and started running around wildly and mindlessly, they started screaming and shouting, while others only stood frozen on spot. They ran in the opposite direction hoping to escape death, while others that could transform tried helping others and other tried to help themselves, but not much people could transform and a few of them were away on missions which meant they had to fend for themselves. People were being squashed, flattened by the raining objects of garbage and waste materials receiving instant deaths. Seconds after everyone felt shaking beneath their feet's. One of the Skylander who was standing on ground as he couldn't fly like the other two grinned excitingly. Even Lynx could feel the shaking and he was scared for everyone in AE, in his state he would be no help, but he would continue his journey there nonetheless. The shaking became more violent causing others to lose their balance, Leader Mitt couldn't transform as he did so earlier as he recently returned from a mission and didn't have enough energy to do it again, everything was in chaos and the gates were still closed as the people who were responsible for opening it died and some fell off from the barrier, everyone was only left with the option of climbing over the barrier. Ave was being carried by her father as he held onto her hand trying to keep her safe, suddenly something dropped on him separating his body from the hand Ave was holding and instantly blood bled from beneath the rectangular object. Her eyes widen as he held her father's separated arm trying to process the outcome, her father's head wasn't squashed along with his body as his face displayed a petrified expression. Ave started crying, screaming for her father as she tried pushing the metal wall from her father.
"Run Ave" he muttered managing to speak, drawing his final breath before dying. Ave was heartbroken as her father died before her eyes, there was so much she wanted to prove to him, but she was a strong girl. She wiped her tears even though they kept flowing and continued making her way to the barrier. During those seconds a large Metallic creature burst from beneath and made a long, loud, horrifying, piercing, shrieking sound. The deathful sound reached Lynx's ears and it made him shiver from fear, but despite the evident danger he kept moving. The creature gashed up from beneath destroying the surface in its awakening and caused an earthquake that reached AE splitting the grounds as numerous people fell in. The Skylanders were laughing enjoying their big find and they were positive they could defeat the creature, before that they decided to enjoy something else first. Because of the noise and the large number of Cores in one place the monster charged in the direction and the Skylanders were enjoying the unfolding outcome. As they watched the creature it seemed as if it was growing, but nonetheless they were sure they could defeat it. The creature rampaged through AE destroying everything, flattening the once peaceful community.
