"Is it really that funny?"
"No," Sheng Shi shook his head, still smiling, but Gu Lanshan felt a headache coming on. She pushed the empty bowl in front of her away and then stood up. Seeing that Sheng Shi was still smiling, she felt inexplicably perplexed, furrowed her brows, huffed and said, "I'm finished eating! Going upstairs to change."
Then she didn't even glance at Sheng Shi and really went upstairs.
Sheng Shi watched her go, not miffed in the slightest. His lips curled up even more. He looked at the empty spot across him and then at the half a bowl of porridge left in his bowl but felt joy filling his entire heart, swelling so much it seemed to spill into his stomach, leaving no hint of hunger. He simply put down his chopsticks, instructed the driver to get the car ready, and followed upstairs to change clothes.
