Hearing the princess's words, the whole room went quiet.
Even Su Jiyai didn't speak for a moment.
Qin Feng and Xi Ping turned their heads toward her with wide eyes, like they just saw a ghost.
The red-haired girl, on the other hand, smirked proudly like she had already won.
Su Jiyai looked up slowly and nodded.
"You can go ahead," she said calmly.
Qin Feng's jaw dropped. What is she doing?! he thought. Xi Ping's fingers twitched nervously.
The princess narrowed her eyes. "Bring the detection instrument," she ordered one of the guards.
Soon, a sleek metal box was rolled into the room. It had glowing buttons and a crystal panel in the middle.
The princess pointed at it. "Place your hand on the scanner."
Su Jiyai walked forward without hesitation and calmly placed her hand on the glowing surface.
For a few seconds, nothing happened.
Then… beep… beep…
The scanner flashed bright red.
Gasps echoed in the hall.
Everyone froze.
The red-haired girl's face lit up with glee.
