Chapter 298 - Chapter 298 Kamehameha

As Hashirama pressed the button, the chat group interface flickered, and a recycling symbol appeared. A moment later, the ability he had just obtained vanished, and the mechanical voice of the chat group rang out.

[Successful recycling! Points received: 80,000 points!]

Hashirama blinked. Then, his face lit up in surprise.

"Oh? I really didn't expect that!" he said, laughing. "I actually made a profit from this lottery!"

It had cost him 50,000 points to participate. Yet after recycling the ability, he had gained 80,000 points. A net profit of 30,000 points.

At first, he had felt a bit dejected about his ranking. After all, he had only won third prize, which meant he was likely at the bottom in terms of reward quality. It was his idea to hold the lottery, but his luck had been abysmal.

But now?

That loss had turned into a gain. A huge one.

Hashirama grinned, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Not bad at all. With this extra 30,000 points, I'm even closer to my goal."

The temptation to spin again was strong. However, this was a group event, and he would have to wait for the others to finish before going for another round.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Hokages stared at him, processing what had just happened.

"…Wait," Minato muttered, frowning. "You actually gained points?"

"Thirty thousand of them," Tobirama deadpanned.

"No way," Naruto gawked.

"Seriously?" Sasuke narrowed his eyes.

"This is ridiculous!" Tsunade scoffed, crossing her arms. "You mean to tell me there's no risk of losing points? Even if you get a trash reward, you can just recycle it and still walk away with more than you started with?"

The realization sent a ripple of excitement through the group.

"Does that mean," Kakashi mused, "if we're lucky, we can keep rolling indefinitely and farming points?"

"That's crazy!" Naruto grinned. "It's like an infinite money glitch!"

The once-reluctant participants were now eager to test their own luck.

Tobirama stepped forward next, his sharp gaze fixed on the lottery machine. Unlike the others, he wasn't just interested in the potential rewards. He wanted to analyze the system itself.

"If I draw a weaker ability from the secondary world prize pool, does that mean it also exists in the first-tier world? How does the system determine rankings?"

The mechanics behind this intrigued him. The distribution of rewards, the categorization of prize pools, he wanted answers.

Even if he pulled something useless in combat, he could study it, reverse-engineer it, and extract valuable insights. That alone made the lottery a guaranteed profit in his eyes.

Taking a breath, Tobirama reached out. It was time to test the lottery himself.

He did not dwell on it for too long. Others were waiting for their turn, and whatever questions he had could be analyzed later.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand and pressed the draw button.

At that moment, the entire chat group's shopping mall interface lit up in a dazzling display. Countless items, each shrouded in mystery and power, streamed across the screen in a radiant cascade, swirling like a waterfall of endless possibilities.

The Hokages watched, eyes sharp, as the prizes spun in an unpredictable flurry. A rhythmic chime echoed through the space.

Ding ding ding…

The spinning finally slowed.

Ding!

With a crisp, final chime, the motion stopped entirely.

A single, radiant gift box appeared in the center of the screen.

By now, everyone had seen this process several times. The anticipation was familiar, yet still thrilling.

All eyes were on Tobirama's result.

Then, the voice of the chat group rang out.

[Congratulations to the Second Hokage, Senju Tobirama!][You have drawn the SECOND PRIZE! Reward: Kamehameha!]

A brief silence followed.

Then came the reactions.

"Nice! Second prize!" Naruto grinned.

"Not bad at all," Minato nodded. "Since Hashirama-sama already made a profit with the third prize, the second prize must be even better."

"As expected of you, Otouto," Hashirama said, patting his brother's back with a proud grin. "Good luck, huh?"

The others murmured in agreement, though one detail immediately stood out.

"…Wait." Tsunade frowned. "Kame… what?"

The name of the technique was unfamiliar, but one thing was clear. A second-tier reward had to be stronger than a third-tier one. Even if Tobirama did not need it, he could always convert it into points. Likely far more than Hashirama's 80,000-point exchange.

That alone made everyone eager to see how much it was worth.

However, Tobirama was not thinking about points. His focus was already locked onto the ability itself.

Information about the technique flooded into his mind.

Gather energy from the entire body. Condense it into a sphere between both hands. Release a powerful blast of energy.

Tobirama's sharp mind began analyzing its applications immediately.

This technique had potential. A lot of it. He already possessed numerous methods of attack, defense, regeneration, and high-speed movement. But if there was one thing he lacked, it was a true finishing move.

A technique powerful enough to decide a battle with one decisive strike.

Something capable of obliterating an opponent before they could recover.

This might be it. The way it rapidly gathered energy, stored it in the palms, and launched it as a concentrated beam. It had all the traits he needed in a trump card.

After a moment, Tobirama turned to Ryan.

"Ryan," he said, voice calm but thoughtful. "Do you have any information on this technique's effectiveness? Would it be worth keeping?"

Ryan, who had been watching intently, gave a confident nod.

"It's more than just 'okay, '" he said. "The Kamehameha is the signature technique of Son Goku from the world of Dragon Ball. It's one of the most powerful energy-based attacks out there."

Then, he added with a smirk, "And the best part? It's a growth-type attack. The stronger your ki, the stronger it becomes. There's no limit to how powerful it can get."

Tobirama's crimson eyes gleamed.

A technique that scales with the user. A move that grew more devastating as its wielder grew stronger.

Now this was worth keeping.
