Aaron was tired of Aishat's rants about how they were supposed to go to the mall, he pulled into the compound and parked his car, he turned his face towards the crowd and he saw Wendy, he saw the angry expression on her face as she looked at Zion and Ivy and when she dragged Isabella from Seth he chuckled
"Are you even listening to me?" Aishat asked, he has completely forgotten she was beside him
"I'm sorry, I know we were supposed to visit the mall, I also don't want to attend this party but my parents forced me to and I was invited. We are going to leave soon and I'll take you to the mall, okay?" He said to her face lit up a bit, Aishat was a nice girl and Aaron is a gentleman around her, he likes her but he still wasn't sure if he wants a relationship with her, he doesn't want a commitment and he didn't want to complicate things. They both got down from the car and he looked at Wendy, she looked so beautiful and elegant, her hair was tied up in a rough but beautiful way and by the time she saw him the smile disappeared, he had expected that.
He saw that she almost tripped while turning back, and it seemed like she was angry, Aaron managed to introduce Aishat to his parents and few people as his friend, Aishat didn't seem to like the word 'just friends' but they were not dating either, he had told her they should keep it a 'situation-ship' and she also didn't want to force things even though her feelings for him was deep.
Aaron saw the expression on his parents face and he knew they had something to say about Aishat
"I'll be right back, I need to use the restroom" he said to Aishat
"Okay, please hasten up" she replied
Aaron went inside in search of Wendy. He wanted to know if she was okay. He walked inside the house and closed the door. He heard footsteps and when he looked, it was Wendy. Her eyes were glassy as if tears were going to fall if she blinked a bit. Perhaps she has seen what she wasn't supposed to see, she tried to avoid him but he held her before her hand reached the door knob
"You look like you want to cry" he said as he looked into her eyes
"Let go of my hand" she said as she tries to free her hand, he sighed
"Stop trying to fight me, I wasn't the one that broke your heart, I'm just trying to care"
"I know you can't do without mocking me" she said trying to get out of his grip again
"I'm not trying to mock you" he dragged her closer "let's sneak away, let's pass the back, I'll go out first, meet me" he said and he let go of her hand.
Aaron went out of the house and stylishly passed the back of the house without letting someone notice him. Sneaking away with Aaron was the last thing on Wendy's mind but that was what seemed right to her at the time, she followed him and when they both managed to escape she laughed and he looked at her surprisingly
"Don't look at me, and I'm only sneaking out with you because I needed it" she said, Aaron didn't answer, he only smiled at her. They both went to a bar and ordered whiskey
"I didn't know you were the kind that would cry over a guy" Aaron said as he sipped his drink
"Shut up about it, I wasn't crying, how sure are you that it was because of a guy?" She said
"I saw them walking into the house, I mean Ivy and Zion, you must have seen them"
"Shut up" She said with a straight face as she held her drink and he chuckled
"I didn't think you were going to come" she said as she looked at him stylishly
"My parents forced me, I was supposed to be at the mall with Aishat"
"Oh, you've grown fond of her" she dropped her cup
"That's none of your business" he said, that wasn't the respond Wendy was expecting so she was hurt and she looked at him with a bit of anger in her expression
"It's also none of your business about my life, don't try to care and don't talk to me anymore, your meeting is over" she finished her drink and stood up to go
"I'm sorry, Wait" she smiled a bit and she turned back to sit
"Pour" She said as she stretched her cup and he smiled.
They both walked back to the party and Aaron sneaked in first, the first person he saw was Aishat, before he could walk up to her, she stood up angrily and left. Wendy used her hand to cover her mouth as she laughed when she saw what happened, the laugh vanished when she saw Zion walking towards her, she left where she stood and walked up to Isabella, she was very happy when Isabella told her she was going to sleepover at Seth's house, she quickly rushed to her car and drove off while Zion stood disappointedly
"Aishat!" Aaron called and she turned back
"Where the fuck have you been?" She asked angrily
"I had to go somewhere urgently" he said vulnerably
"I have to go somewhere urgent to" she said and before he could speak she entered the car she'd boarded
His mum called him on his way home, and he picked the call reluctantly
"Aaron, why did you leave so quickly?" His mum asked
"I have somethings to do" he said in a husky voice
"And I hope you and that lady stay friends, I want nothing more than that" she said and he chuckled
"I was expecting that, mum please I don't want you to interfere in any of my relationship" he hung up before she could say anything, he was tired of his parent's complains, they'll probably say she isn't up to their standard and that they wanted a millionaire, or something unreasonable, he drove angrily to his house.
