Chapter 3 - Despair act ll

"Hi Mr Reinhard, I have got just the right deal for you"

____________

Mr Reinhard steps back a little, maybe because he is scared like everyone else I meet.

"Uh, watch your steps Mister, the way down is treacherous" a smile on my face pops.

He would still be damned either way.

He stopped backing up and stood still for a minute, probably trying to make sense out of this situation.

" Are you the Devil? " He asked but this time with no fear and words that were utterly sincere.

" Am I?" I said "or am I a saviour, for I have brought you a gift that will pull you out of your despair!! "

"What is the gift you talk of? " He asked solemnly for he knew eternal damnation is what comes after.

" The gift I have for you is a better life, the life you can only dream of, riches, fame, glory and everything else you need"

" I only wish to be happy Mr Red, I only wish to feel the warmth of those old days, it was a simple life I lived but the best part of my life it is"

And with a smile he looked me in my eyes

"I offer you my soul, the essence of life, in exchange I want everything I lost"

"Very well Mr Reinhard, tomorrow when you wake up it shall all return to you, your dear and near."

Then I slowly crept back to the shadows and disappeared, he just stood there thinking of something.

Maybe he is thinking of what comes tomorrow or what comes after, either way it would be quite fun to watch.

Once upon a time, in a dark and lonely place, There was a child, unwanted, with a tear-streaked face. No one wanted her, no one cared, She wandered through life, alone and scared.

But one day, she met the Grim Reaper, dressed in black, Who appeared before her, and gently took her back. He held her close, and wiped her tears away, And whispered softly, "There is another way."

The child looked up, and saw the Reaper's eyes, Filled with compassion, devoid of lies. He spoke of life, of death, of love, And how she could rise above.

"You are not unwanted, my dear," he said, "For in my eyes, you are alive, and not dead. You are a gift, a treasure to behold, And your life, your story, has yet to be told."

The child listened, and slowly began to see, That there was hope, and a chance to be free. She smiled, and reached for the Reaper's hand, And together, they walked towards a new land.

A land of light, of love, of hope, A land where the child could learn to cope. And as they journeyed, the Reaper whispered in her ear, "You are not alone, my dear, and you have nothing to fear."

For in the end, the Reaper knew, That every soul was precious, every soul true. And though he may seem fearsome, and stern, He was there to guide, to teach, to learn.

So if you ever feel lost, unwanted, or alone, Just remember the Reaper, and the love he has shown. For in his embrace, you will find peace, And in his words, the hope to release.
