Mandel Thompson raised a smile again, continuing, "Do you know who my girlfriend is?"
"I know, your girlfriend is Isla Astir!"
"She also has another name, Miss Astir."
"Let me tell you a secret!" Mandel Thompson said.
"Go ahead." Isla Astir responded.
Mandel Thompson said mysteriously, "Now I don't feel like saying it anymore!"
Having said that, Mandel Thompson continued to laugh heartily, "You look like an idiot!"

After finally helping Mandel Thompson to the bed, he started clamoring for water again.
Isla Astir went to pour water for Mandel Thompson with a glass in hand.
Just as she walked into the living room, she saw Olivia Armstrong also pouring water.
Isla Astir asked concernedly, "Mom, how is Dad doing?"
Olivia Armstrong said helplessly, "You know exactly what your father is like when he's drunk! He's still bragging over there!"
Thankfully, there were no outsiders present.
