This decision had actually been settled half a year ago.
But at that time, Michelle Campbell was worried that her son would not be able to adapt to life at School right away, so she had him attend Emily's school first to get used to it.
After all, with Emily there, he should have been able to relax a little.
She had thought that this suggestion would be met with Lorne's refusal.
