The Verdant Chosen stood before his enemies with a calmness that not many could muster. The young man had had time to think about what happened between his parents and the Continuum Beast. He understood that his master and parents had attacked first, and their intent was to kill the beast. Since the beast killed them instead, there was no way to truly blame Kai Syaoran for their deaths, since the victims were also at fault.
These thoughts had occupied the young man's mind for the past few months, and he had come to a simple conclusion: "Revenge is for the powerful."
All that mattered in this situation was power. All other thoughts did not matter, since both sides had a "good" reason to kill the other.
