Little Seraphyne was walking when she suddenly heard a loud hissing, and she noticed the movement of the plants a distance from her. In the dense, unforgiving wilderness of the island, Seraphyne had a heart-stopping encounter with a serpent of enormous proportions.
[Hurry! Run! That's a massive snake! It will kill you in one mouthful! You're not even enough for its meal!] Seraphyne screamed internally. [Seraphyne! Run! Fast!]
The child's instincts kicked in as if she could hear the piercing scream in her thoughts. It was a desperate plea to the girl to flee from the hissing threat. Little Seraphyne, heedless of the urgency, darted away from the snake's path.
"I can't appear near the beast's path..." little Seraphyne murmured. 'I can't outrun the beast, and I can only think of ways to hide myself. Climbing is not a good option. The trees here are not high enough, and climbing takes time for a child my age.'
