"Xaviar, this is called a parent-child outfit," Anna explained, "If your dad and I wore the same clothes, then it would be called a couple outfit. Don't misuse terms, okay?"
Xaviar pursed his lips and remained silent. Hearing Anna speak about wearing matching clothes with dad as a couple outfit renewed that sense of loss deep in his heart.
"Anna, does that mean you'll be my stepmother from now on?" Xaviar's lips quivered as he tried hard to control his emotions, barely stopping himself from crying (he had already cried this morning at home).
Stepmother? Anna was momentarily taken aback before correcting him, "No, no, no, I'm not your stepmother. I am your biological mother."
"Biological mother?" Now it was Xaviar's turn to be shocked. He widened his eyes and stared at Anna, "Anna, I'm not even born from you. How could you possibly be my biological mother?"
