The hall had fallen into eerie silence.
Horus and Dalin looked at him in astonishment, almost thinking they had misheard.
After a moment, Horus's face, dry as dead wood, wrinkled up: "Rod, do you know what you're talking about?"
Rod answered indifferently, "I know."
"I must remind you," Dalin said, "Storm Pass is a large-scale war, not a single combat or a small-scale team operation. There, we have our most powerful combat clusters, the strongest warriors, and most elite personnel."
"But they still encountered difficulties, and these difficulties are not like the crises you dealt with before that could be easily resolved with your help."
Rod replied calmly, "I know, but I have my methods and my confidence. You can have another Second Level combatant replace Master Barrett and his elite combat cluster."
Dalin was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly smiled.
"Alright."
He took a puff of his cigarette, slowly exhaling, letting the white smoke swirl around him.
