Hope you enjoy!

------------------------------------------------------------------

In a world where hunters, human warriors who possess supernatural abilities. Must battle deadly monsters to protect mankind from certain annihilation, a notoriously weak hunter named Sung Jinwoo finds himself in a seemingly endless struggle for survival.

One day, after narrowly surviving an overwhelmingly powerful double dungeon that nearly wipes out his entire party, a mysterious program called the System chooses him as its sole player and in turn, gives him the unique ability to level up in strength.

This is something no other hunter is able to do, as a hunter's abilities are set once they awaken.

Jinwoo then sets out on a journey as he fights against all kinds of enemies, both man and monster, to discover the secrets of the dungeons and the true source of his powers.

He soon discovers that he has been chosen to inherit the position of Shadow Monarch, essentially turning him into an immortal necromancer who has absolute rule over the dead. He is the only Monarch who fights to save humanity, as the other Monarchs are all trying to kill him and wipe out the humans.

Is what it would have been if not for the current situation.

Here is another prolog, same as before. But there was now another Monarch in the fray, one who did not align herself with the monarchs. And even the absolute being himself was disregarded by her.

Her power was second to none, equal with the likes of Ashborn, the Shadow Monarch. Even slightly above him to a certain degree.

She ruled over the earth, as the sole monarch of it.

And it has made her enemies with all monarchs, but one. Not a lot was detailed of when she arrived, but it was said the when the other Monarchs were created, a certain being of unfathomable power just walked in and place the idea inside of the creator's head to allow a new type of Monarch to exist.

This is the story of the Monarch of Earth!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Seoul, South Korea

[9:37 am]

It was a bright and sunny day, the clouds floated above the ground looking high and mighty. The people of Korea where all going about their daily lives, some at work. While others were on their phone listening to the new relevant information.

In a certain park area, kids were playing and having a very fun time.

One particular kid, a little black hair boy wasn't playing though instead he on his phone watching the news. The kid was walking with his head down and his eyes glued to his phone screen.

He was so focused on what was on his phone, that he paid little attention to what was going on in front of him. Heck even the people around him barely paid any attention to what had just happened.

A blue colored circle shaped portal had appeared out of thin air, it just randomly appeared out of thin air. And the boy who was still unaware. Well, he was walking straight into it.

The portal was only four feet from him, and if took a few more steps then he'd fall into the portal.

*thud*

And right as he was about to walk into it, the boy hit something hard. He hit it so hard that he in fact fell onto the ground, and his phone fell behind him out of his hands.

"Ouch!"

The boy cried out as he began rubbing his head, his mind was reeling with a stinging pain. He sat rubbing his head back and forth, still not looking up at what he hit.

This was when he heard a smooth voice enter into his ears, the voice was so soft but hard, kind of like honey as they weaved into the boy's ears.

"Yo kid, you alright?" The man asked, as he reached down with is left hand and carefully picked the kid up with little to no effort at all. It was all done extremely quickly.

And as he rubbed his head, tears welded up in his eyes as he looked up to see what or who he had hit. The kid didn't even realize that he was now standing, his eyes were only glued on the man.

This was when his tears vanished without a trace, though a couple of droplets were still on his cheeks. The boy was stunned by what he saw.

He saw a man.

A very tall pale man, in a loose but tight-fitting black suit. A white shirt buttoned up shirt was underneath his suit, and a dark green colored tie, with black lines squirming all over it laid on his chest.

The man had semi long black hair, darker than the night itself. His skin was a pale as candle wax, but as pure and beautiful as the dawn of the sun. But it was the man's green eyes really sucked out the boy's soul to a degree, as they glowed with such a powerful glow and pulsed with a calm deep overwhelming feeling.

It was to such a degree, that the boy was beginning to become pale with the sign of death quickly approaching him.

"Aww shit, need to tone that down some more then," the man mumbled to himself. The he snapped his fingers, snapping the kid out of his trance. And erasing the effect of death that was slowly encroaching on the boy.

Once all of that happened, the kid was all fine and dandy.

"Huh?" The kid mumbled, then he shook his head as he felt a bit dizzy.

"You good kid?" The man asked, as he patted off the dirt and the dust from the ground was on his body.

"Yes....mister." The kid said quietly, and his hands quickly fell to his sides, then he reached for his phone. That was when he realized that his phone was nowhere near him.

"Ahhh, my phone!" The boy yelled out, making the man chuckle in amusement, then he simply ruffled the boy's head as he said, "Here you go, I grab this for you as soon as you dropped it."

Holding the phone in his right hand the man placed it into the young boys' hands. The boy's eyes were sparkling as he held his precious phone. Bowing to the man, the boy expressed his thanks, "Thank you mister.... uh, what was your name oppa?"

The boy rubbed his head shyly as he asked this.

The man smiled a bit, and said, "Names Bruce...Bruce Banner."

"Ahh, you're a foreigner, Mister Bruce?" The boys asked. "Yes, I am." Bruce replied to him.

Bruce then asked, "Now, you asked my name." It's only proper for you to tell me yours, isn't it?"

The kid, now bashful, quickly said, "Sorry oppa. My names Chan-woo Joon." He bowed a little after speaking.

Bruce chuckled at this display of manners, finding how different the customs for different countries are pretty funny.

Then he asked, "So Joon, was it you were so keen on watching, before you bumped into me."

The kid gained a pretty huge smile as he heard what Bruce said, then as he turned his phone back on, he said, "Oh yeah, Korea gained its ninth S- Rank hunter today!"

"And he looks pretty awesome, see! The boy said as he held out his phone for Bruce to see the newly appointed hunter.

As Bruce looked on the screen, he saw a young Korean man walk out from a large building, then disappear like shadow. And everyone lost their minds at this feat of his, well everyone but Bruce.

Because everything Sung JinWoo did to him was in clear view, like a movie. It was very slow to him basically. Bruce was silent for a moment, then he said, "I see a very joyous day for all of you indeed."

The kid took his phone back, and said, "Yeah its awesome Oppa." Then he gained a quizzically look on his little face as he asked, "Say, are you a hunter Oppa."

"Because you look the part."

Bruce just mysteriously smiled at the child's innocence, and he responded saying, "Oh, you could say that I am a hunter of sorts."

But only much worse. He said the latter part in his head.

The kid sort of confused, just shook his head, then he said, "Well once again, sorry for bumping into you Oppa."

"I have to go to my mom now."

After he spoke, the kid took off running in another direction, but midway of his sprint he turned back around and yelled, "good luck in the dungeon, Mister Bruce!"

Then resumed back running to his mother, Bruce watched this with a little melancholy, remembering his own kids, and wives. One wife he was here for.

And the dungeons?

They were more of a pest really, then turned to look the portal for split second. Might as well." He thought to himself.

Then his eyes pulsed a bit before the entire portal simply ceased existing. With his little favor done, Bruce turned around and began walking along the path of stone that was before him. His look drew many gazes and looks towards him.

But he cared little for it.

"Now, time to move on from this place and find my dear wife."

And then he simply dispersed into thin air. Shocking all those who were watching him walk.

This little debacle had the streets mummering and echoing all over the place. Bruce was none the wiser, but even if he knew that what he did caused such a reaction, he still wouldn't care.

He had a goal to accomplish.

One goal.

Caiera.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

*CAW*

*CAW*

*CAW*

Standing on top of the highest tower, Bruce gazed down at the entirety of Earth. His sight peered through all mysteries and magical things this place had to offer.

Soon he saw a crystal-like monolith in the center of the earth, it was inside of an entirely separate dimension. But it laid in the core of the earth.

"Makes sense she would be there, after all her and her people's power laid in the very earth itself."

Bruce thought to himself as his sight passed on through the outer walls of the monolith, and there he found a very large hall, a red carpet laid on the floor. While colorful crystals made up the ground and side so this inner place.

And at the very top of this long hall, a white jade like throne sat, its aura powerful and soothing like the earth.

This is when Bruce saw her.

Her beautiful ash grey skin was glowing. While her long black hair fell behind her back like a scattered waterfall. Caiera in a silver white armour sat on her throne of earth, with a pensive gaze.

A short silver sword floated calmly beside her. Bruce's greenish black heart sped up at the sight of her for a bit.

She was truly a superb being, and her power radiated off of her almost like a becan.

"I've found you my love, and I will take you with me-" As Bruce spoke, his eye narrowed a bit, then he said, "But first, I have to deal with an incessant bug rigging in my ear."

So, he stood up, and he took one last look at his wife. Her scent and image plagued his mind like an obsession.

"Soon." He spoke.

Then he snapped his fingers, and the world around him shattered like glass, Bruce then found himself in a dark world. A place no light could ever escape if it even tried, a place filled with death and the reeking of darkness itself.

Bruce turned his head to the right, and no sooner than he did this, did flaming purple lights flash into existence. It just kept on going on, almost like an eternal flame.

All of those lights, in Bruce's eyes were the soulless husk of the dead, and they surrounded him like he was prey.

But Bruce could care less, his gaze passed through all of them and fell on a pretty massive being cloaked in a darkness filled Armour and filled with the concept and power of Death itself.

"Ashborn."

Bruce spoke, and his voice sending out an invisible pressure of power on the entire realm of the Shadow Monarch.

And it all centered around the man on the throne himself, Ashborn.

Ashborn had the form of a large and muscular shadow warrior, with long glowing flame-like purple hair, glowing purple eyes, two curved black horns, and sharp claws. He also wore jet-black armor and a long smoky black cloak.

He had a long pure black sword calmly sitting beside him. His sharp fingers were sitting very closely to its handle. Inching so close ever so calmly as he felt pressured from the man before him.

Which was crazy because Bruce was so far away from him at the moment.

"Ou-Outsider." Ashborn's deep voice awkwardly spoke, trying to find the right words for Bruce's appearance.

Bruce taking this as his queue, began to walk towards Ashborn, all while speaking to him.

"What is it that you want, you've been calling me ever since I arrived in the area near your little successor." Bruce was halfway to the throne of Ashborn as he spoke.

And not a single soul moved towards him, at all to stop him.

The reason?

Because they felt that if they moved towards him, then there would be no coming back from death.

They would truly die, which was crazy to them. Feeling the insane amount of long forgotten emotions from his summons, Ashborn could only calm them down as he continued to speak with Bruce.

Who was currently almost to him.

"The reason for my call, was to see what someone of your position and attitude wanted to do, and.....

"To see if you were a threat."

There was a deathly silence as Bruce was now no more than a few feet away from Ashborn.

He just stood there looking at the Monarch of Shadows for a split second, then he said, "Someone of my position he says, Ha!" Bruce let out a small sound of laughter, like he was humored by the unveiled threat that was just thrown his way.

Ashborn a bit annoyed at being toyed with flared his dark mana, but he found that there was none around him. In fact, there was no mana in the entire Shadow Monarch domain!

Horrified by this, Ashborn was about to say something, but a long pale white finger arrived at his temple, silencing him.

Then a horrid voice filled with complete malice entered his ears, it sounded like the destruction of all life in the universe, and the breaking of all concepts as it said, "I can understand your concerns, Monarch."

Then a miasma like green light emerged from Bruce's body, it invaded everything in the realm.

Even himself, his armor and all that made him the shadow monarch simply was erased from existence. His dark armored body reverted back to how he used to look before he found the power sealed inside of him.

Ashborn watched as his entire eternal army simply vanish in front of his eyes. His realm of death, of complete darkness, was now filled with a horrid green wave of destruction. Time, space, matter, all laws ceased to be in front of this green light.

Only a multitude of huge draconic almost fishlike heads were before Ashborn's frail body, it stared down at him like he was an inconvenience. Large tentacles extended from the dark green light behind it, they were hungry for Ashborns origin.

Ashborn couldn't even see the end of the dragon's body, it was like this being had no fixed shaped or size. All that was around or below him was a sea of greenish black fire.

Ashborn hadn't ever felt like this since the day he was betrayed, He felt was he ruled over, Ashborn the king of Death and the ruler of shadows actually felt the eroding power of Death itself.

The huge Draconic head cared little of this, and he tilted his head down towards Ashborn as he spoke, "But.... don't.... ever think... to threaten me!"

"Or else you and this petty little realm will all simply cease to exist! All shall be destroyed in front of the flame of DESTRUCTION!"

ROARRRRRRR!!!!!

The Draconic head let loose a greenish black flame from his mouth that fell on Ashborn, erasing him and all he ever was or would be from existence.

SNAP!

The sound of fingers snapping echoed, the scene shattered. And Ashborn awoke from his stupor. On his throne he sat, soaked the feeling of fear, and he stared at its source.

Still calmly standing in his original position when he first arrived, was Bruce. And he only smiled and said, " Good Talk."

"But I have somewhere else to be at the moment."

"Bye now."

And he dispersed into nothing, the surroundings were quiet. As Ashborn sat on his throne and feeling the power, even the source of mana flooding his body was slightly relieved and scared even more than before.

All of what happened earlier was just in his head.

Meaning Bruce just casually pulled him inside of his own mind like a toy. And so the Monarch of Shadow made up his mind to make sure to firmly warn his successor that if he ever encountered this horrid being, then to simply get out of the way.

And he thought this, a weird thought popped into his mind.

" I hope that the monarch of Earth wasn't the one this man was here for. Because if so, then I hope Antares doesn't let his arrogance get the best of him."

It was well known that Antares had some special feelings for the Monarch of Earth, even more so when she beat him up and flat out rejected him harshly.

Ashborn could only shake his head in misery if this was the case. All he could now was fully prepare and up the training of his future successor.

Because Jinwoo crazily needed it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearing back on earth, Bruce looked back into the core of the planet. Gazing upon his wife filled his dark heart with a weird form of happiness. And not wanting to waste any more time, he simply teleported into her domain.

Once inside, he said, "Caiera, I've finally found you."

The Monarch of Earth only staired at him, and Bruce at her. This lasted a while until Caiera said,

"Who the fuck are you?"
