Chapter 49 - Chapter 49

" Creek"

The sound of a heavy footing creeper the floor of the dorm, since it was evening to proceed to training , he walked through the corridors of the dorm then with a sad smile, he limped to the outside.

On the outside of the dorm, the trainees gathered together each dressed in casual native clothing which matched that of the environment they were presently in for the training. Crook also dressed like the locals his face almost unrecognizable in the attirer.

" Finally we have the last with us,.....how much longer before you heal up" crook concerned looked towards Ryan's foot.

As Crook's concerned gaze lingered on Ryan's injured leg, Ryan gave a curt nod. "I'll be fine. Just need to get into the zone."

The team nodded in unison, their faces set with determination. They knew the training ahead would be grueling, but they were ready to push their limits.

The group dispersed, each member melting into the crowd. They walked the streets, adopting the local mannerisms and blending in seamlessly. Crook navigated through the bustling market, expertly haggling over prices. Sonia sat at a street food stall, savoring local delicacies and engaging in lively conversation with the vendor.

Ryan, despite his injury, moved neither slow or fast, observing the surroundings with a keen eye while he of course sat on a cart being pulled by an electric motor bike. He noted the surrounding patrols, the layout of the buildings, and potential escape routes.

The team's training had taught them to be flexible and not totally cautious given that missing a few details might as well be a good thing, adapting to their environment and disappearing into the crowd was a necessary skill. Tonight, they would put their skills to the test.

As they moved through the streets, they subtly communicated with each other, exchanging information and coordinating their efforts. They were a well-oiled machine, working together with precision and finesse.

The night air was electric with tension, the team's senses on high alert as they prepared for the challenges ahead. They knew that blending in wasn't just about appearance; it was about becoming one with the environment, anticipating and reacting to every situation.

As Ryan focused on shaping the support for his leg secretly on the cart , he heard a faint humming noise coming from outside. He looked up to see a small drone flying in the sky, its sleek body glinting in the fading light. The drone seemed to be hovering above the training facility, its camera lens pointed directly at the grounds. Ryan's instincts told him that this drone be here to look for them.

"Looks like we've got some unwanted company," Ryan muttered to himself, wondering if this drone was connected to the mysterious atmosphere that had been building up.

The drone's presence raised more questions than answers. Was it surveillance or reconnaissance? And who was behind it? Ryan's eyes followed the drone as it flew away, disappearing into the darkness.

Meanwhile, the trainees were already getting acquainted they also sensed the presence of the drone by its subtle swirling sound. Julius's words echoed in their minds: "you are not just farmhands you are all agents." They knew that blending into the environment wouldn't be easy, but they were now required to hide while not being suspicious or obvious to the local, and this is where being a farmhand helps. Farmhands in helping others with heavy lifting of some goods.

" Haha, why don't I help you with the grains" Vincent laughed as if he was with an old friend and with receiving consent, he lifted the heavy bag of grain which belonged to the person he was relating with while the other seeming flustered jus marveled at his strength and later agreed leading the way for him.

Vincent with this was safe from the angle of surveillance of the drone.

The ladies amongst the trainees all entered into a beauty shop like gossip girls while Claire just continued to chat with whom she was with acting all natural.

Ryan after carefully crafted a makeshift support for his injured leg using his metal control abilities, shaping the metal into a sturdy fixture. With his leg stabilized, he felt a sense of relief wash over him.

To detect the drone, Ryan could have used visual detection methods like scanning the sky for unique movements or auditory detection techniques like listening for the distinctive high-pitched buzzing noise drones make, but instead he just whistle enjoying the view.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the landscape, Jeffrey stood at the edge of the town, his eyes scanning the streets with a mixture of curiosity and caution. He was accompanied by a team of seasoned operatives, each with their own unique skills and expertise.

The team's presence was a testament to the high stakes involved. Jeffrey's eyes narrowed as he watched the trainees blend into the crowd, their movements fluid and natural. He knew that Rein and her siblings were part of this group, and he was determined to uncover their plans.

The drone's presence in the sky was just one part of the surveillance operation. Jeffrey's team had been monitoring the town's activity for days, gathering intel and waiting for the perfect moment to have a reason to strike.

As the night wore on, the team's senses remained on high alert, their eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of movement. The trainees seemed to be adapting well to their surroundings, but Jeffrey knew that they were far from safe since he was going to be the one after them.

The stakes were high, and the game was about to get deadly. Jeffrey's team was ready to move, and the trainees were about to face a deadly assault yet.

The wind rustled through the trees, carrying the faint sound of whistling. Ryan's carefree tune seemed out of place in the tense atmosphere, but Jeffrey's team remained vigilant, their eyes fixed on the town below.

They had received an anonymous tip from an unknown insider ttt there were new people in town and that they had similar features to that of those who were wanted by the government half a year ago.

If it were another place the could have just barged into the town without any need for permission of formalities, but not this time, this country side was said to be a very vengeful one with its leader being an ex military strategist over six decades ago. The also had some unknown military ballistics which one wouldn't want to go against without even knowing how many there were a d how they operated also there is the unknown of any superhuman ability users in this very place aside from their team.
