Chapter 2
Nathan Morgan parked his car in front of a private hospital.
Sofia Hamilton didn't understand why he had brought her here until she walked inside and saw Ryan Gregory's doctor in charge, Mr. Charlie Harris. Then, it all became clear.
Charlie seemed hesitant, repeatedly asking Nathan, "Are you sure it's okay to tell her about Ryan's condition?"
"I'll take responsibility for the consequences. Don't worry."
"Alright, honestly, I've also been hoping that someone could convince him to cooperate with the treatment sooner."
Charlie shrugged, opened Ryan Gregory's medical file, and handed it to Sofia. "This is from five years ago."
"Five years ago?"
She was stunned. Why five years ago?
She thought the doctor might have made a mistake.
But Nathan said, "Ryan's illness was indeed diagnosed five years ago, which is why he made you leave."
"You're saying he made me leave five years ago because of this illness?"
