Chapter 178 - Onslaught 5

Meanwhile, Angel executed a rapid aerial assault, but Ben matched every move with ease, his Aerial Prowess allowing him to navigate the skies with nimble finesse.

Dazzler's blinding light beams pierced the air, only to be deflected by Ben's precise use of Absolute Cryomancy.

A protective ice shield formed around him, shimmering in the chaos.

Nightcrawler's teleportation strikes added a layer of unpredictability, but Ben, using Adaptive Invulnerability and Aerial Prowess, anticipated each move.

"You'll have to try harder than that. You can't catch me that easily." Ben smirked

Wolverine, under Onslaught's control, lunged with ferocious claw attacks. However, Ben's Adaptive Invulnerability and Titanic Endurance proved insurmountable, each strike meeting an impenetrable defense.

"Enough of this! Show him the true extent of your power!" Onslaught shouted. As the controlled X-Men continued their assault.

Ben refrained from causing harm. He used his strength to subdue them without inflicting injury.

Then Onslaught extended his psychic control to the Fantastic Four, the iconic team of Johnny Storm, Ben Grimm (The Thing), Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), and Sue Storm.

Onslaught command while manipulating Fantastic Four, "Attack him, Fantastic Four!"

Johnny Storm, engulfed in flames, unleashed his fiery assault, but Ben, with a wave of his hand, turned the searing flames into frost.

Ben Grimm, known for his formidable strength as The Thing, charged at Ben, but his mighty punches seemed feeble against the icy fusion's Titanic Endurance.

Reed Richards, with his elastic abilities as Mr. Fantastic, extended his limbs to hold him. But Ben, employing his Absolute Cryomancy, froze him.

"You can't be invincible," Onslaught shouted in an angry mood. While Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman, created force fields in an attempt to confine Ben. However, he simply phased through the solid barriers using his intangibility.

"Yes, I am Invincible," Ben said sarcastically.

As the Fantastic Four's powers proved ineffective against the resilient Ben, Onslaught's frustration grew.

"You're just delaying the inevitable, Ben." He said growling.

He shifted his attention to the Elite Mutant Force, comprising Dark Beast, Cyclops, Havok, Vulcan, Aurora, Northstar, Amazon, and Cannonball.

Cyclops and Havok, the formidable brothers with optic blast powers, unleashed their energy beams simultaneously.

Yet, Ben, with a flick of his hand, generated an icy barrier, deflecting the beams harmlessly into the cold air.

"Is there no end to your resilience? Crush him, Elite Mutant Force!" Onslaught is frustrated, while manipulating the Elite Mutant Force.

Vulcan, channeling powerful energy, attempted a direct assault, but Ben's Titanic Endurance absorbed the onslaught, rendering Vulcan's efforts futile.

Aurora and Northstar, the speedster siblings, launched a flurry of rapid attacks.

However, Ben's Aerial Prowess allowed him to evade effortlessly through the onslaught, evading their every move.

Amazon and Cannonball, combining strength and kinetic energy, charged at Ben.

Yet, his Absolute Cryomancy formed a protective ice shield, absorbing their impact without a hint of strain.

"Elite Mutant Force, don't let him toy with you!" Onslaught said while growling.

"Ok, now I am bored of this worthless attack, so let's end this," Ben said, circling above the controlled forces of Avengers, X-Men, Elite Mutant Force, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man.

He released white pollen from his hand by activating Sleep Dust Manipulation. Tiny, glistening particles, imbued with the power to induce slumber.

With a deep breath, he exhaled a powerful gust of wind, utilizing Wind Breath to disperse the sleep-inducing particles with precision.

The hypnotic breeze enveloped the area, transforming the battlefield into a dreamlike realm.

Everyone fell asleep after getting induced by the sleep pollen.

But, three figures still remained unaffected.

Sue Storm, Jean Grey, and Vulcan, shielded by their energy barriers, easily dodges the sleep dust.

"Nice try, Ben, but your tricks won't work on us. You think you can stop Onslaught that easily?" Vulcan, Jean Grey and Sue Storm said together.

"Oh, you think you guys are invincible," Ben said, using his Intangibility, he easily passed through Sue Storm's shield with ease.

And then he uses his Sleep Dust, he makes them fall asleep, first Sue, then Jean, and finally Vulcan. One by one, they succumbed to the soothing influence of slumber.

Now only Ben and Onslaught stood face to face in the silent battlefield, surrounded by the sleeping forms of once-battling heroes.

"It's just you and me now, Onslaught." Ben looked towards the Onslaught.

"You can't harm me, because I have Psionic Armor on me, which will save me from your sleep dust pollen" Onslaught said while grinning.

"Oh, so you think, I can't make you fall asleep. Then let's see," He then used the power of Sleep Dust Phasing. Extending his phasing ability to the sleep-inducing particles.

It easily phased through Onslaught's psionic armor effortlessly, leaving a trail of sleep-inducing dust in his wake.

"What... what is this?" Onslaught asked while struggling to keep awake himself.

As the particles enveloped Onslaught, the malevolent force began to succumb to the irresistible call of slumber.

If he wants he can easily kill the Onslaught, since he was one of the dangerous villains, danger to the whole earth.

But he feels kindness for the origins of this formidable entity, for Charles Xavier and Eric, that's why he didn't harm him.

"Time for some peaceful dreams, Onslaught." Ben said while he noticed, Onslaught had fallen asleep.

Then he uses his other unique ability – Oneirokinesis. It can enable him to control anyone's dreams. With it, he can disappear the pain of those who were always trapped in their mind.

"Let's put an end to this nightmare." Ben muttered while projecting himself into the dream realm.

Inside the dream, Ben found himself face to face with the amalgamation of Charles Xavier and Magneto – the foundations of Onslaught.

Their dreams, once twisted and tormented, mirrored the chaos they had faced in reality.

"It's time to let go of the rage, both of you." With a gentle touch of Oneirokinesis, Ben transformed the nightmarish dreams into serene landscapes.

He diffused the anger and turmoil that fueled Onslaught, allowing both Eric and Charles to recover from the inner conflicts that birthed the malevolent force.

As Ben's Oneirokinesis works its magic within Onslaught's subconscious, the deep-seated rage and anger born from the fusion of Magneto and Charles Xavier begin to unravel.

The dreamscape crafted by Ben guides Onslaught through a journey of reconciliation.

Onslaught undergoes a metamorphosis, and the imposing figure dissolves into the distinct personas of Charles Xavier and Magneto. The once-fused entities now separated while sleeping.

Each bearing the essence of their original selves. Charles Xavier, the telepathic visionary, and Magneto, the master of magnetism.

The sleeping forms of heroes and allies around the battlefield rested peacefully.

With a quiet victory, Ben stood amidst the slumbering heroes, he started his Interstellar Harley and continued his journey for the Universe 12041.

As the sun began to rise, casting a warm glow over the battlefield, the heroes and allies slowly stirred from their peaceful slumber.

One by one, they awoke to find themselves surrounded by the aftermath of a battle.

"What happened?" Peter asked while rubbing his eyes.

Captain America, surveying the scene, answered, "Looks like we won, but where's Ben?"

Soon they realized what happened, and the heroes and allies looked around, only to find Ben had already left.

"He's not here. I can't detect him." Reed Richard answered by checking his devices.

Amidst the confusion, a sense of gratitude filled the air.

The heroes exchanged glances, silently acknowledging the bravery of Ben in facing the force of Onslaught.

"We owe him a lot. He saved us. And also saved the Processor and Magneto," Storm nodded followed by all of X-Men.

The heroes dispersed to their respective works, reports were filed, damages were assessed, and alliances were forged anew.

They understood, the universe was vast, and maybe there were many heroes like Ben Tennyson beyond the stars.

The legacy of Ben Tennyson lingered in the memories of those he had saved, a guardian of dreams who vanished as mysteriously as he appeared.

And so, in Universe 1295, life returned to a semblance of normalcy, but the heroes, forever changed by the encounter with Onslaught and Ben Tennyson, continued their watch over the cosmos.
