First he goes off to meet Alpha Flight, whom he fights briefly before taking a ring from Shaman's pouch.
He gives it to Dazzler as a gift, but she wants to go back to her old life and dreams after all. He tries to help by making her a star, but she wants to earn her stardom.
"Please put me back where we were a minute ago!" Sharon said to him.
"Okay! I'm sorry! Now I feel lousy… Should I call a taxi?" Beyonder asked her. Which she denied.
Then, out of nowhere, the Avengers attack Beyonder. He fights them in a standard super-hero fashion, and they get the upper hand. They are about to kill him, and so Dazzler saves him.
They go to a mountaintop, and she gets him to admit that they weren't the real Avengers, he was faking the whole fight.
He decides the whole problem is that the two of them are too different, and so he divides his powers with Dazzler, making her a Goddess, and probably the second-most-powerful being in creation.
But then Alison started flying away from him, Beyonder tried to stop her, then she shouted, "But I don't love you! I can't love you! When we touched I knew! It isn't reAL! And no pleasure, no power, can make it so! I won't trade my love, my soul for this! I don't want your power! OUT! OUT!"
And yet once again Dazzler doesn't want this gift, or Beyonder's love. She rejects the power while flying, and falls to her death.
In his rage, the Beyonder releases a blast of power that obliterates a galaxy. Finally he brings her back to life and uses his power to make her love him.
He soon realizes that, just as with Toots and Vinnie, a controlled friend or lover is no good. Love must be earned, and must be mutual, as Reed Richards told him. So he removed his control from her.
However, he did not completely abandon her. Giving her a tour of a mall from the air, he said he would join her crusade of public awareness for mutants.
But she said she would rather do it on her own, so he brought her back to the place from where he had taken her originally, and they parted on good terms.
Dazzler walked to a local bar, and three mutant bikers started a fight. They normally had low levels of power, but those powers became amped as they got near her.
The Beyonder appeared again, this time garbed as a superhero, and helped her fight the bikers, whose powers kept increasing.
The Beyonder intentionally limited his power to that of a "normal" superhero, and enjoyed the complexity and pressure of battle.
Dazzler eventually realized that he had stimulated the situation by amping the bikers' powers, and made him stop the fight. He left after fixing the damage from the fight.
But just as he goes a little bit far, he finds himself in front of Ben.
"You, you, why do you always follow me? You have no other work?" Beyonder asked, looking shocked at Ben. Although he is experiencing life, whenever he meets Ben, he is helpless.
"Yes, Wherever you are, I will follow you. And whenever you make a mistake. You will always face me, and by destroying the galaxy you have again done wrong, it's happened , I have the power to bring back the Galaxy. So it's time to give you the punishment," Ben said calmly.
"So, you're going to kill me again, but I will revive again, so what's the benefit of this?" Beyonder asked, looking towards him.
"Then, let's see, how much time you will be revived," Ben said, waving his hand using the Alien X powers. He destroyed the Beyonder again, ending his journey on Universe 12041.
But he looked very closely. Even to the minimum level where all the Cosmic particles are going, then he found a portal, which is invisible to normal eyes, it was the way of a different Universe.
"So, he ran away to a different Universe," Ben understands and then he opened the portal to the way of the Universe where Beyonder had run away.
UNIVERSE 765
Meanwhile, the Beyonder again revived in Universe 765, and he found himself near the Sanctum Sanctorum. And his curiosity leads him to meet Stephen Strange.
Because Ben Tennyson was also able to do some magic, and the same goes with Stephen Strange, so he wants to know if magic is able to stop Ben.
He needs enlightenment of magic, and he sought out Dr. Strange. He walked into his Sanctum Sanctorum while Strange was out, he ripped off the cover of the Orb of Agamotto, and found him in the Dark Dimension with Clea. The experience apparently proved too enlightening in itself, and he ran away.
Strange found out what happened, and found him in a bar-one of the very ones he himself used to drink at after he had his accident and could no longer do surgery.
The Beyonder begged him for enlightenment. Strange wanted to know more about him, and peered inside him with the Eye of Agamotto, where he saw his true self.
Even though Strange had seen so many mysteries and beings of power, and had 'stood unafraid before Eternity himself,' he recoiled at the sight of the Beyonder's true nature and power.
He realized that Beyonder 'could erase the universe with a thought.' But there was one more stronger being from which Beyonder was running away.
Now the Beyonder was limiting himself, and because he had intentionally gotten himself drunk, Strange realized that he had a chance to ensnare him with illusion, and perhaps take his danger away from the multiverse forever.
Unsure of the morality of such an act, he decided to put the Beyonder through the same experiences he had when he was a drunk, showing him the seediness of alcoholism.
The enlightenment of the Ancient One, and the treachery of Baron Mordo, when Mordo originally tried to kill the Ancient One.
In this illusion, the Beyonder tried to stop Mordo, just as Dr. Strange had once done himself, thus proving that the Beyonder, like Strange, had some goodness still inside him.
"That's it? More pain is the answer to happiness? How can that be?" Beyonder asked, looking at Strange.
"Not pain, my friend from beyond -dedication! The willingness to take on pain for the sake of others, and the world! It transcends pain-transcends desire, when I ran to save the ancient one, I had learned the first lesson!" Dr Strange explained to him.
"But now-let the illusion be dispelled. Had you not made the effort yourself to help me against mordo, you would have lived out eternity in that veil of illusion," Strange explained, and because of this, he decided to let him out of the illusion.
"You'd have done that to me?" Beyonder asked, he was amazed, with the magic Dr. Strange easily sends him the illusion.
"But I still don't understand! Is that it? To be happy, I have to sacrifice? If that's true then why isn't everybody happy? If en-lightenment is simple, why is it so hard to find?" Beyonder asked Dr. Strange.
"Because you must know what to sacrifice, my friend! the world exacts a price from us in proportion to our abilities!" Strange explained, he continued, "I had great gifts–and I was called upon to give them all up! I had to give up my dreams of wealth, and power, and the gratitude of the masses it was my lot to protect! and most of all– I even had to give up my regret over my choice."
"You have power beyond measure, My friend, I expect that the sacrifice the world asks of you will be like-wise beyond measure!"
"If that's enlightenment, it sure isn't what they told me it would be-it doesn't make me feel at all happier!" Beyonder showed a puzzled expression.
"That's because happiness can be transcended as well- but that is a lesson no man can teach," Strange cleared his confusion.
"Sacrifice-dedication-transcend- I'm not sure I know what those words mean, Dr. Strange, what should I do? How should I act?" Beyonder asked for Dr. Strange's guidance.
"You know what happiness is, my friend-and you know pain. See others and try to foster the one and prevent the other. Simply that," Strange continued giving the philosophy of life.
"I don't know -living, being human it seems bitter and bleak. I'm not sure I like enlighten- ment. I'm not sure it's worth it," Beyonder was still confused.
"Then you should see why it is difficult- and rare and precious," Strange tells him, and he asks for a promise, "But promise me at least that you will try. with the power you possess, without responsi- bility-dedication -you could cause much damage. you ruined that bar, and could have injured those men."
The Beyonder took his message seriously, and indeed it was an experience that he recalled several times throughout the rest of his time on Earth.
