Chapter 348 - Chapter 348: You Can’t Even Handle One Attack From Me, and You Want to Challenge Me?

"What else? Let them out for now. Otherwise, when Oonoki arrives, he'll accuse us of mistreating our guests."

"Alright, you handle it. When Oonoki gets here, he's your problem."

Since Tsunade had already left this matter to Yan, she had no intention of interfering.

If Oonoki's message hadn't been sent to her directly, she wouldn't have even bothered asking.

Looks like Oonoki is really panicking. Otherwise, he wouldn't have sent a letter so quickly, asking Konoha to treat his student and granddaughter well.

He's probably afraid that Konoha might harm them.

But unfortunately for him, his worries are unnecessary.

Yan and Tsunade never had any intention of hurting Deidara and Kurotsuchi—unless Oonoki decides to abandon them and lets Konoha handle them however they want.

If that happened, then Yan would definitely take action.

With such great talent in front of him, it would be a waste not to train them.

But just because he wanted to train them didn't mean they'd be willing to go along with it. To Oonoki, Deidara and Kurotsuchi were extremely important.

And to all of Iwagakure, for that matter.

Yan casually picked a house outside the village where guests usually stayed, then ordered the Anbu to bring them over from the police department.

"Damn it! Damn it!!!"

Even though he was finally free, Deidara was still furious.

He swore to the heavens—being stuffed with dirty socks for days nearly killed him. The smell alone was enough to scar him for life.

"I'm free! Finally free!"

The moment Kurotsuchi walked out of the police department, she knew she was no longer a prisoner.

It was obvious that Iwagakure must have contacted Konoha, which led to their release.

"Well, well, look who it is. Didn't get enough sleep?"

Seeing Deidara's red eyes and awful expression, Kurotsuchi couldn't help but tease him. She walked around him, sniffed the air, then pinched her nose in disgust.

"Why do you... smell like feet? Ugh—your face smells even worse! You didn't sleep hugging your own feet, did you?"

Wait, would that even be physically possible?

"Shut up!!!"

Deidara was about to lose his mind.

Getting stuffed with dirty socks for days was bad enough, but now he had to deal with Kurotsuchi making fun of him too.

This was pure bullying.

"Oh wow, still so full of energy! Come on, tell me—how did they treat you?

Did they torture you? Interrogate you for information about the village?"

Kurotsuchi kept talking nonstop.

The Anbu leading them to their residence had his face hidden behind a mask, but if anyone could see it, they'd notice his frustration.

Was the Tsuchikage's granddaughter always this... carefree?

At a time like this, this was what she cared about?

That being said, Deidara really had been through hell these past few days. The Uchiha almost drove him insane.

Not because they tortured him—no, it was because Deidara wouldn't shut up.

He just kept talking and talking nonstop.

And the Uchiha?

They absolutely hated people like that.

So from Uchiha Hoshiryu at the beginning to every guard who took shifts after him, they all made sure to "gift" Deidara a pair of dirty socks.

If they couldn't find any socks, a used tablecloth worked just as well.

So now, after finally being released, Deidara was in an absolutely foul mood.

"Shut up! Shut up! I said shut up! Do you hear me?!"

Deidara was about to lose his mind, and to make things worse, Kurotsuchi wouldn't stop talking right next to his ear.

He wanted nothing more than to shove a pair of dirty socks into her mouth—maybe that would finally shut her up. She was way too noisy.

No matter what Kurotsuchi said, Deidara ignored her and just kept telling her to be quiet.

But the more agitated he got, the more she enjoyed rambling on right beside him.

"Sir."

After bringing them in, the Anbu ninja bowed and stepped back.

"We meet again."

Kurotsuchi's eyes lit up when she saw Yan, while Deidara gritted his teeth.

"Uchiha Yan…"

"What's wrong? Even after spending days with socks stuffed in your mouth, you still can't calm down?"

Yan looked a little surprised.

You'd think after what happened, Deidara would have learned his lesson.

But no—he looked even more restless than before.

Classic case of never learning from his mistakes.

"You had dirty socks in your mouth for days?"

Kurotsuchi acted like she just discovered something hilarious.

She clutched her stomach and burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! This is killing me! No wonder you reek of foot odor! I knew it! No one can stand your mouth—you're way too loud!"

"..."

Are you seriously making fun of me?

Deidara wanted nothing more than to sew Kurotsuchi's mouth shut.

You two are the same, honestly—one's just as bad as the other.

Yan raised a hand and gestured at Kurotsuchi.

"Need me to set you up the same way?"

"Uh…"

Kurotsuchi's smile stiffened, her face changing slightly.

She took a few steps back, looking a little guilty.

"No need for that. I'm good."

Glad you understand.

Yan nodded in satisfaction.

"The Tsuchikage will leave Iwagakure tomorrow. Until he arrives in Konohagakure, you two will stay here. If you need anything, someone will bring it to you.

Until the Tsuchikage gets here, you are not allowed to leave this place."

"I hope you both listen and follow the rules. If you cause trouble on purpose, it's only going to make things harder for me."

I'll behave—but him? Not so sure.

Kurotsuchi pointed at Deidara.

"Fight me!"

Deidara gritted his teeth.

"Beat me, and I'll behave. Otherwise, there's no way I—"

The next second, Deidara's body was sent flying.

Yan casually flicked her wrist and shook her head.

"Pathetic. Oh, and do me a favor—take care of your brain-damaged senior."

"If you need medical treatment, just find the Anbu outside. They'll call a medical ninja for you."

After saying that, Yan didn't even glance at Deidara, who was covered in dirt and struggling to get up from the ground. He simply walked away as if nothing had happened.

After Yan left, Kurotsuchi grinned and ran over to Deidara. She gave him a good look and clicked her tongue at his miserable state.

"Not bad, pretty impressive. Talking big about challenging him, and then you went down in one hit.

I think you need a few more years of training. At this rate, there's no way you're beating him."

"Grandpa said that this Uchiha Yan might be the strongest ninja in Konohagakure right now. The gap between you two is…"

Kurotsuchi made a tiny gesture with her fingers, hinting that the difference was massive. Deidara was so angry he almost passed out.

Whose side are you even on?!

If you don't mock me at least once a day, do you feel uncomfortable or something?!

"Hmph! I'll defeat him sooner or later!"

"Alright then, good luck. I'm going to pick out a room."

Kurotsuchi happily skipped away.

"Wait!!!"

"?"

"Call someone from outside for me… I think I need a doctor."
