Hua Lunxi thought about it and felt the same. He actually thought she'd been acting strangely lately and worried that she might do something drastic. But now that she was pregnant, she would surely think twice before risking her life. This reassured him somewhat.
Ye Lu then said, "I'm going to see Dr. K and ask him to help me recuperate and prepare for delivery. That should ease your worries, right?"
Hua Lunxi indeed felt much more at ease. Dr. K was a star in the medical field, and with him taking care of Ye Lu, it was certainly reassuring.
After Hua Lunxi left,
Ye Lu asked to be escorted to Dr. K's research institute.
"You're here for him—to ask me to continue saving him? But he's not here, and I can't analyze many aspects of his physiological condition. I only have the blood samples and Professor Slonan's data, both of which are extremely limited. The success rate was low to begin with; now it's practically left to fate."
Dr. K looked at her seriously.
