Basil Jaak and Bertha originally planned to return via the same route, reach the towering Snow Mountain, and then ride the Flying Horse Fairy Beast back to Immortal City.
But plans couldn't keep up with sudden changes—in just one day's journey away from the snow peak piercing the clouds, the weather turned abrupt, and a snowstorm started once again.
This snowstorm grew increasingly intense, with relentless winds, making it impossible for Basil Jaak and Bertha to travel across the open snowy terrain.
Even worse, under the ravages of the snowstorm, there was a massive avalanche in the southern area of the Arctic Snowfield. The ground shook, and mountains collapsed. The scene was both immensely majestic and extremely dangerous.
Even with Basil Jaak and Bertha's cultivation, if they were caught in the avalanche, they wouldn't stand a chance of escaping.
