[Third Person's PoV]
Harry and Lizzy streaked across the sky like twin comets, one a blur of emerald green and the other a flash of blazing crimson. The sheer speed of their movement made them appear as nothing more than flashes of light tearing through the air.
With expert precision, Harry tore through the enemy's defenses. His batons struck with the force of a battering ram, shattering energy shields with a single hit, while his fists followed up with devastating punches that sent their foes flying.
Right behind him, Lizzy brought the heat—literally. Her palms glowed molten red as she superheated the metallic weapons and gear of the hunters, causing them to warp, melt, and ultimately detonate from the inside out. Screams echoed from above as some of the airborne attackers clutched their limbs, flesh burning from contact with the now-liquid metal.
Before they could fall helplessly into the ocean below and drown, Harry reacted fast. He shot strands of reinforced webbing from his custom web-shooters, catching each of them midair. In a show of practiced efficiency, he bundled them tightly—like oversized cannonballs—and suspended them beneath his glider with neatly wrapped cords.
More hunters poured in, relentless and unshaken. They raised their weapons without hesitation and charged. One particularly bold assailant swung a plasma-forged sword toward Lizzy, its white-hot edge crackling with dangerous energy.
Lizzy met the blade head-on, stopping it mid-swing with her bare hand. The moment her fingers clenched around the searing metal, flames surged up her arm.
"What—" the hunter gasped, too stunned to finish.
Her fist ignited with explosive power as she pulled back and punched directly into his shield. The energy field shattered like glass, and her fiery blow slammed into the center of his armored chest. The impact triggered a concussive burst that launched him backward through the air like a missile.
"Try something hotter next time," Lizzy quipped with a wild grin, already rocketing off toward the next target, leaving behind only the shimmering trails of fire in her wake.
Above her, Nightwing swooped in with calculated grace, catching the unconscious attacker before he plummeted to the sea. With a grunt, he added him to the growing collection of captives dangling from the underside of his hoverboard like twisted piñatas.
The skies around them had become a battlefield. Sleek, high-tech drones swarmed overhead, each armed with rotating turrets and enhanced targeting systems. Energy bolts rained down with mechanical precision, lighting up the sky in a cascade of rapid-fire lasers.
But Lizzy was faster. Her body danced through the chaos like a flame caught in the wind. She twisted, spiraled, and darted through the bombardment with impossible agility. Her trail of fire began to take on shape—forming more than just heat and light.
It began to resemble something alive.
A fiery serpent, wings outstretched, began to form from the embers and blaze in her wake. As the glowing image solidified, the creature's eyes lit up with molten intensity.
With a furious roar and a single beat of its flame-crafted wings, the serpent launched forward, weaving through the air with a mind of its own. It charged the enemy drones, consuming them one by one. Upon contact, it melted them from the inside out, triggering devastating internal explosions that ripped through their systems.
The serpent didn't stop. It twisted and coiled through the sky like a dragon of legend, swallowing entire squads of drones and even enemy hunters. As it passed them, their screams rang out—raw and panicked—as fire danced across their armor, leaving scorched skin and broken machines in its wake.
Hovering a short distance away, Harry glanced over his shoulder and chuckled at the destruction.
"Babes, I think these are a bit overdone, don't you think?" he said, forming a new set of glowing portals and teleporting effortlessly between burning bodies to collect them.
"Really?" Lizzy teased, her voice full of mischief as she raised her hand high. "I was thinking more... medium rare."
With a dramatic snap of her fingers, the winged serpent soared high into the sky, coiling into a majestic spiral before it exploded into a breathtaking cascade of glowing fireworks. Red, gold, and blue embers rained down like celebratory sparks, illuminating the battlefield in brilliance.
The sky, once choked with enemies, now lay quiet and clear. In mere seconds, the two had turned an aerial warzone into a silent graveyard—thanks to their devastating teamwork and flawless execution.
"Good work, you two," came a voice through the comms. Aria's tone was calm, collected. "Nightwing, leave the captured hunters by the harbor. I'll handle the rest and make sure they're secured."
"Appreciate it, Aria," Nightwing replied, nodding as he floated down toward the designated drop point. After setting down the captives, he summoned a portal and glanced at the next destination.
"Kraven's location. Let's finish this."
As Harry and Lizzy stepped through the portal, they froze upon arrival, eyes quickly scanning the chaotic scene before them.
MJ had just unleashed her synaptic disruption ability, aiming to paralyze Kraven's mind and body—but something went horribly wrong. Gwen and Felicia had flown directly in front of her at the last second. Instead of Kraven, the ability struck Gwen, her body locking up mid-air.
"No!"
In that instant, Felicia lashed out, raking her claw across Gwen's face. Her mask tore open, and the force of the hit sent her flying—right into Kraven's waiting arms.
With a triumphant snarl, Kraven struck. His blade flashed as it slashed across Gwen's exposed skin, injecting her with the same venom he had used before.
"Sorry!" MJ cried out, wincing in horror.
"Don't worry, it's not your fault," Gwen growled as she recovered and rolled across the ground, landing in a crouch. Her voice was strained, but filled with fury. "Spider-Kat's abilities are just... seriously annoying. As for you—"
Gwen unleashed a wave of her energy toward Kraven, her eyes narrowed with focus. But she wasn't the only one attacking—at that very moment, Harry and Lizzy charged in from opposite flanks, flames and green light trailing behind them in dazzling arcs.
Unfortunately, thanks to the chaos brought on by Felicia's interference, Gwen's ability missed its target entirely. Instead of striking Kraven, the wave hit—unnaturally, inexplicably—toward Harry and Lizzy.
"What? No, no, no—!" Gwen barely had time to react.
The energy struck the two just as they reached Kraven, stopping them dead in their tracks. Frost formed instantly around their bodies, starting at their feet and crawling upward in jagged, creeping lines.
Kraven smirked as he watched the spectacle unfold perfectly in his favor. "Well now... lucky me," he said with a cruel chuckle, pulling a small metallic sphere from his belt. "Here's a special concoction just for the two of you."
He tossed the poison smoke bomb directly at their frozen forms—just as MJ teleported in through a portal, large spider-legs ready, her eyes blazing with determination. The bomb exploded at their feet with a loud pop, releasing a thick cloud of sickly green gas.
All three of them—MJ, Harry, and Lizzy—immediately started coughing violently, choking on the toxic fumes. MJ stumbled back a step, clutching her throat, while Lizzy and Harry Within seconds, both were encased in solid ice, frozen mid-cough, their limbs stiff and expressions locked in surprise.
"Okay, wait just a damn minute!" Gwen barked, holding up both hands in a dramatic 'time-out' gesture. "How the hell did this happen? Seriously, this is bullshit on so many levels."
She glanced around at the chaos with a look of sheer disbelief. "I know Felicia's ability is partially to blame, but there's got to be a limit to this nonsense. How did we end up so disorganized?"
A new portal shimmered open behind her, and Peter stepped through casually, as if walking in on a conversation he'd been listening to the whole time.
"It's his ring," Peter said flatly, his voice calm but edged with authority.
Before anyone could respond, he vanished in a blink of motion—and reappeared beside Kraven. In a single, fluid movement, Peter snatched the ring clean off Kraven's finger without the man having so much as twitched in response.
Kraven leapt backward, eyes wide. He looked down at his bare hand in stunned disbelief.
'I knew he was fast… but for me to not even see it—?'
Peter held the ring up between his fingers, his expression neutral. "This thing's been emitting sub-sonic vibrations. Completely undetectable—but powerful enough to affect your brain's perception, reaction time, and even your decision-making processes."
Gwen raised an eyebrow. "Okay, and how exactly do you know that?" she asked skeptically. "You weren't even here until a few seconds ago."
"I was monitoring your feeds during my own fight," Peter explained, crushing the ring in his hand until it shattered into glittering fragments. "I noticed something was wrong when Spider-Kat got hit, and you, instead of focusing on Kraven, turned on towards her to calm her down."
He let the shards fall to the ground. "I finished my battle around the same time you guys did, but I held off until I was certain what was happening. Had to be sure it wasn't just chaos or coincidence."
Before Gwen could respond, a sharp screech tore through the air—Felicia, overcome by the poison, lunged toward Peter with a roar, her claws glowing with energy.
Peter caught her wrist with a single hand and effortlessly hurled her over his shoulder. She flew across the space and crashed through a stained-glass window, disappearing in a rain of shattered glass.
Behind them, Lizzy's encasement of ice began to glow from within. Her internal heat finally ignited again, flames licking at the icy prison. The frost cracked, hissed, and then started to melt as her body temperature surged back into motion. The heat spread toward Harry, who also began to thaw, his green glow slowly returning to life.
Peter exhaled softly, keeping his eyes on the rising steam. "Don't worry. I'll take care of the rest."
"Thanks," Gwen said with a sigh, brushing a hand by her closing mask and healed cheek. "Sorry for the mess. Based on Spider-Kat's reaction to the poison it seems we're going to become an inconvenience for a little while."
"Tell me about it," Peter replied.
But before they could say more, a furious voice cut through the haze.
"Don't ignore me!" Kraven snarled, stepping forward, blade drawn and rage flashing in his eyes. "You dare treat me as if I'm not even here?"
Peter still didn't look at him. He simply flicked his wrist and shot a web directly at Kraven's mouth, sealing it shut.
"I'll deal with you later," Peter said coolly. "I'm having a moment here."
