It only just occurred to me that I'm basically looking at a mutant vs machine right now…
On one side, we had Mercs who are mostly Cyware modded and the thugs who were Gene modded fighting in this raid.
And right now, the machine side was winning.
Although I would have to admit that the fact that we had better weapons was one of the reasons for that. These thugs were really just relying on their Gene mods to do the heavy lifting for them.
I guess on this ring where most gangs don't have really good weapons to begin with, these Gene mods would actually put you at an advantage. But since we were using better equipment, we could easily close the gap.
And as proof of that…
Another one of those tank thugs appeared, this one seemingly even more roided up than the previous one and preparing to throw another wall at us.
