Chapter 539 - Chapter 539: Megatron, Sam, and Mikaela

Despite a million unwilling feelings in his heart, Shia LaBeouf couldn't go against Spielberg's words. He took a step forward and stood in front of Matthew.

"I'm sorry." He looked very sincere. "I apologize for what happened yesterday."

His voice was neither too loud nor too soft. Matthew nodded lightly, not caring whether Shia LaBeouf was sincere or not. This was purely for Spielberg's sake.

Shia LaBeouf lowered his head, seemingly in repentance, but his sharp eyes reflected his true feelings at the moment.

Matthew glanced at Megan Fox behind him and said, "There's someone else you owe an apology to more than me."

Hearing this, Shia LaBeouf immediately looked at Megan Fox, this sexy and enchanting woman, the woman he had always looked down upon...

It was obvious that this woman had latched onto Matthew Horner's thick thigh. If he guessed correctly, they had probably slept together, hadn't they?

Facing this woman, whom he had always wanted but never managed to get, Shia LaBeouf found it hard to utter an apology.

Spielberg looked at Shia LaBeouf but said nothing. What needed to be said had already been said on the way here.

Finally, Shia LaBeouf stood in front of Megan Fox and lowered his head. "I'm very sorry."

"Hmph!" Megan Fox snorted coldly, raised her chin slightly, and said, "Let's just forget about yesterday."

This matter was over for Matthew, as for what would happen between Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf later, he didn't care.

"Michael, you go ahead and work." Spielberg clearly had other matters to attend to. "I want to have a private chat with Matthew."

Matthew curiously asked, "What's up?"

Spielberg adjusted his glasses. "Just a little work-related issue." He gestured towards the door. "Let's talk somewhere else."

"Alright." Matthew responded and followed Spielberg out of the dubbing studio.

Seeing Matthew leave, Shia LaBeouf glanced at Megan Fox, and the resentment in his eyes was clear to anyone.

But with director Michael Bay right there, he couldn't do anything.

While Michael Bay was talking to the sound engineer, Shia LaBeouf quietly walked over to Megan Fox.

"Bitch!" he muttered under his breath.

Megan Fox, on guard, looked at Shia LaBeouf but said nothing.

Shia LaBeouf sneered softly, "You satisfied Matthew Horner, so he stood up for you?"

"Yeah, we were busy all night." Megan Fox retorted hotly. "I did satisfy Matthew, but he also satisfied me."

"Bitch!" Shia LaBeouf cursed again.

Megan Fox, holding her phone, appeared particularly confident and more composed than ever. "You don't seem to know that I recorded your crazy behavior after you took drugs yesterday. You were ranting about killing me and Matthew. I have it all on video."

Shia LaBeouf was immediately stunned.

"If you don't want your disgraceful behavior to be reported or appear on TMZ," Megan Fox said, mimicking Matthew's calm demeanor, "then shut your mouth and behave yourself in front of me!"

"You..." Shia LaBeouf pointed at Megan Fox, "You're despicable!"

Megan Fox raised her eyebrows. "Not as much as you. Shia LaBeouf, from now on, stay out of my sight unless it's for work! Otherwise, I can't guarantee that the video won't leak."

Shia LaBeouf, still a young man in his twenties, dared to act recklessly, partly due to his habitual behavior and partly because he had someone backing him.

He thought carefully and realized that Megan Fox did indeed seem to have filmed it yesterday...

"Fine! Very well!" Shia LaBeouf said and walked away without looking back.

"Trash!" Megan Fox snorted coldly at his back.

If not for Spielberg being his godfather, who in the crew would tolerate someone like Shia LaBeouf?

There were rumors that Shia LaBeouf was Spielberg's illegitimate son. Matthew had heard it too, but he knew it was as fabricated as the rumor about Vin Diesel and Spielberg.

Sitting in a guest room, Matthew curiously asked Spielberg, "Steven, what's up?"

"A while back, you faced a lot of criticism." Spielberg's words were somewhat odd. "You were falsely accused by Spike Lee, but it was eventually cleared up. The real problem was with Spike Lee."

Matthew didn't understand why Spielberg suddenly brought this up, so he cautiously said, "I didn't expect Spike Lee to set me up over a personal grudge."

Spielberg smiled. "People like Spike Lee are disliked by me and those around me. Many film companies have blacklisted him... DreamWorks won't work with Spike Lee anymore."

These words made Matthew even more perplexed. Spielberg, in terms of status and wealth, was far above him. There must be a purpose behind these words.

He and Spielberg were never friends.

Matthew was very clear about this, and Spielberg had never treated him as a friend either.

In just a moment, Matthew was on high alert, wary of Spielberg's true intentions.

Spielberg, having put down the camera, was essentially a businessman.

"Thank you." Matthew remained cautious. "People like Spike Lee should be kicked out of Hollywood."

Spielberg nodded slightly. "He won't last long." He suddenly shifted the topic. "At that time, some people, influenced by Spike Lee, said inappropriate things about you..."

Hearing this, Matthew began to sense something. It was said that Vin Diesel had a very good relationship with Spielberg. Although Vin Diesel hadn't been doing well in recent years, he was still a second-tier star, partly thanks to Spielberg.

Sure enough, Spielberg continued, "Vin Diesel said some things he shouldn't have. He's impulsive sometimes, so don't take it to heart, Matthew."

What's going on? This sounded like a father defending his son...

Matthew had specifically asked the well-informed Helen Herman, who clearly told him that Vin Diesel was not Spielberg's illegitimate son.

But Spielberg's words made him confused.

"Just a minor issue." Matthew replied casually.

Spielberg smiled. "It's good that you don't mind."

He had heard from many people that Matthew Horner was quite formidable. Vin Diesel must have had a problem to provoke him for no reason.

Matthew looked at Spielberg. As long as he could secure the "Fast & Furious" series, Vin Diesel would struggle to reach his former heights again.

Of course, if there was a suitable opportunity, he wouldn't hesitate to crush Vin Diesel.

"It's getting late." Matthew stood up from the sofa and said to Spielberg, "Steven, if there's nothing else, I'll get back to work."

Spielberg nodded. "I won't keep you."

Matthew left the guest room, returned to the dubbing studio, exchanged a few words with Michael Bay, and joined the dubbing work.

The day's work went smoothly. Shia LaBeouf didn't cause any trouble, although Matthew noticed a few times that Shia LaBeouf looked at him with clear hostility.

If this matter ended here, he would pretend not to know Shia LaBeouf. But if Shia LaBeouf tried to come after him, he wouldn't hesitate to retaliate.

In this circle, if you let people bully you without fighting back, more people would try to step over you.

"Today went well." Megan Fox got into Matthew's car and asked, "Where are you headed?"

Matthew signaled the driver to start the car. "I'll drop you off first."

As he raised the partition, Megan Fox asked, "How about trying my skills tonight?"

Matthew turned to look at her full lips. "Is there something new?"

Megan Fox lowered her voice. "I designed a scenario where Megatron captures Mikaela and uses all sorts of means to torment her to find out the location of the AllSpark."

Matthew was immediately intrigued. "I like this script, Meg... No, Mikaela."

"Megatron!" Megan Fox suddenly put on a righteous expression. "Go ahead, use all your means, I'm not afraid of you! Even if you beat me to death, I won't tell you."

"Hahaha..." Matthew laughed wildly. "I won't beat you to death; I'll make you wish you were dead."

The Mercedes arrived at the house Mikaela was renting. Megatron easily subdued Mikaela, carried her inside, and began a torturous interrogation.

In the following days, Matthew went to DreamWorks every day for Megatron's dubbing work. After work, he spent the night at Megan Fox's place. Megan Fox, now more than an actress, became a screenwriter. She even got a few Transformers masks from the props department, creating more scenarios like Megatron and Optimus Prime's love-hate relationship, Megatron dominating Bumblebee, and Megatron's story with Ironhide...

In short, it was a period that Matthew would fondly remember.

As the dubbing work for Megatron concluded, Matthew also returned to his near-week absence at Horner Manor. Megan Fox indeed was a very enticing vixen.

Life returned to normal, and Matthew resumed filming Robert Neville's scenes for "I Am Legend." After five days of hard work, most of the scenes were completed, with the remaining scenes scheduled for after the New Year.

Putting these aside, this weekend marked the 2006 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at the Kodak Theatre.
