The fight was brutal. Maki and Yuji worked together, giving it their all. But even though Sukuna wasn't at full power yet due to Megumi's resistance, he was still too strong.
And then, things got even worse.
Uraume appeared.
The ice-user, loyal to Sukuna, froze the battlefield, trapping both Yuji and Maki in an instant.
With them unable to move, Sukuna and Uraume left, disappearing into the distance.
Yuji and Maki faded into unconsciousness.
When they finally woke up, the first thing they saw was a girl with wings on her back and a glowing halo above her head.
She looked at them with a calm expression.
"You're finally awake," she said.
Yuji slowly sat up, his body aching. "Who… are you?"
"I am Angel," she answered. "And I've been looking for you."
Yuji and Maki exchanged glances. Angel was the ancient sorcerer they had been searching for, the one who could break Gojo's seal.
Yuji wasted no time. "Please… we need your help. Can you free Gojo Satoru?"
Angel nodded but raised one finger. "I will. But first, you must help me."
Yuji tensed. "With what?"
Angel's expression darkened.
"You must help me kill Sukuna."

Sukuna had only one goal after taking Megumi's body—to completely break Megumi's will and take full control of his body. And to do that, he needed to kill Yorozu, the ancient sorcerer who had taken over Tsumiki's body.
Yorozu, however, didn't seem to care about the situation. Instead, her face lit up with excitement when she saw Sukuna.
"My love!" she shouted, her voice full of joy. "You finally came to me! Let's get married!"
Turns out that Yorozu was from the same era as Sukuna and was in love with him. Of course, Sukuna had cut her in two before, but she was back to claim her love. Strange, I know, but it's not me—it's Gege.
Sukuna raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.
"You want to marry me?" he asked, smirking. "Fine. Let's make a deal. If you can kill me, then you can marry my corpse."
Yorozu's eyes sparkled with delight. "Really?! That's the best wedding gift ever!" she cheered.
Without hesitation, the battle began.
Yorozu charged forward, her body covered in liquid metal, forming perfect armor. With insane speed, she swung at Sukuna, her enhanced fists shattering the ground beneath her.
But Sukuna wasn't even trying. He simply dodged, using Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique instead of his own power.
This infuriated Yorozu.
"You're not even taking me seriously?!" she yelled, summoning a massive bioweapon—a living, flesh-like sphere designed to counter Sukuna's abilities.
Sukuna responded by summoning Nue, the winged divine beast. Lightning rained down, clashing with Yorozu's metal armor. But she didn't stop. She attacked again, her bioweapon shifting into different deadly forms.
Sukuna grinned.
"This is all you've got?"
Yorozu's frustration boiled over. She pushed her Cursed Technique to the limit, transforming her armor into a perfectly optimized form, ready to counter anything.
But Sukuna had been waiting for this.
As Yorozu charged at him one last time, Sukuna summoned Mahoraga, the ultimate shikigami.
The beast roared as it adapted instantly to Yorozu's technique. With a single swing, it crushed her armor, sending her flying.
Yorozu coughed up blood, but instead of fear, she smiled.
"As expected of my love…" she whispered.
Mahoraga's final blow landed, killing her instantly.
With Tsumiki's body dead, Sukuna knew—Megumi's spirit had completely broken.
He had won.
"Now, where is that brat?"

Yuta had been fighting nonstop. Every time he entered a new colony, he took down any cursed spirits or dangerous sorcerers threatening civilians. His real goal, however, was to find Geto. That wasn't changing, but it was just so hard.
No matter how many colonies he searched, Kenjaku was nowhere to be found. He now even started to suspect that maybe he wasn't in one of the colonies.
"How many more do I have to go through?" Yuta muttered to himself, standing atop a ruined building, scanning the area.
As he was about to move again, he noticed something strange. Choppers? A group of soldiers was entering the colony.
"How the hell is that even possible, shouldn't the barrier stop them?" Yuta sighed. He was tired enough to not even question what was wrong here.
However, when he activated his Sharingan to see what they were doing, he saw something that caught him off guard. They weren't Japanese.
They were American military. "The hell?"
Yuta's eyes narrowed. What were they doing here? Were they here to help evacuate the civilians? he pondered. Maybe the Japanese government couldn't handle it and asked for help from the US?
He couldn't think of anything else, at least.
Well, he thought wrong. His hope shattered when he saw what happened next. Gunfire erupted. Soldiers began attacking civilians, capturing them like they were hunting animals.
Yuta could only stand there in a daze, seeing those soldiers open fire on citizens with utter shock.
"Fuck... Here I'm painstakingly saving those people and these motherfuckers...!" Yuta almost blew a gasket there.
He saw a young man try to run, but a soldier grabbed him and slammed him to the ground. Others were restrained and dragged away. Some who resisted were shot on sight.
Yuta moved instantly. With a burst of speed, he knocked out the closest soldier before he could fire at an elderly woman.
The other soldiers turned toward him, raising their weapons.
"Japanese sorcerer spotted! Open fire!" one of them shouted.
"Pardon? What the hell sorcerers did to you?"
The next second, bullets rained toward him.
Yuta took out the Playful Cloud and, with his Sharingan, effortlessly deflected all the projectiles coming at him. He didn't want to kill them since they were definitely just following the orders of some shitty politician, but he was gonna beat the shit out of them for sure. He was looking for a way to vent his anger from earlier anyway.
He grabbed one of the soldiers and slammed him against the wall.
"Why are you attacking civilians?! Who sent you?!" Yuta demanded.
The soldier coughed, glaring at him but said nothing.
"Who?" Yuta's Sharingan glared as he asked again.
Before the soldier could respond, a helicopter flew overhead, dropping even more troops.
"Sigh, seems like peace is not an option..."
