CHAPTER 75 : This ain't funny.
"Hmm." Kizer said, urging her to speak.
"I.. I love you!" Beatrice spoke up, shutting her eyes tight as if that could somehow change the outcome.
Though she did miss Kizer's stunned face, the most expressive expression that he had ever managed to make.
"Cough.. cough.." Kizer choked on his own saliva, his mask covered cheeks turning hot.
"I.. I am.. sorry." Beatrice fumbled before searching for water, which was thankfully near to her.
"Here." She opened the bottle cap, and handed it to Kizer who took the bottle.
"Thanks." Kizer said, but did not drink.
"What happened?" Beatrice asked.
"Nothing." Kizer answered.
"Then why aren't you drinking the water?" Beatrice questioned back.
"I am not comfortable removing this mask in public." Kizer answered.
"Do you want me to backface you? That way you can drink water comfortably and let me know when you are done." Beatrice asked.
