We all stood ready, Rose was giving a speech. I sort of blan-
Why am I speaking in third person?
…
Who are you?
No response? Why?
Can you not respond?
I can tell you have no bad nor good intentions…
What are you?
"Now, I will meet with the rulers once more to review the plan."
Oop, that's my cue.
I walked after Rose, but I was minorly confused.
Why am I doing it again?
"We already went over it several times. Why do we-"
"We don't, Darsen."
Luma sighed. Why?
"Then why are we here?"
"Didn't you notice? Dallel can sense the readers now."
Luma's eyes widened.
"That means he passed the threshold, but how? He certainly isn't stronger than Gabriel."
"Wait, you know what's going on?"
"Yep, basically, one of the Author's abilities broadcasts our story to many other worlds. Beyond what he controls. The beings you feel, and by the looks of it, attempted to talk to, are the ones reading or watching the story he's broadcasting."
"And the third person?"
"We subconsciously narrate our movements and that of others, whenever it enters your mind, then you will start narrating."
"Huh. That's interesting."
Darsen looked interested.
"How do I get that?"
"I don't actually know if it has ever gotten your point of view."
"Still cool as heck."
Rose snickered.
"Indeed, it is."
"Well, that's that, I just thought that I should explain."
Then the Author spoke, shocking us all.
I should tell you, you are correct that this is the start of the end battle, therefore it will rapid swap between all of our perspectives.
{Why are you telling us?}
Because I can't control who they observe, frankly, I don't know what does. I told Lucifer and the Supreme faction members that are aware as well. Don't want an important character dying stupidly due to getting surprised by a sudden reading.
{I suppose that makes sense; you'd rather it remains interesting instead of the "interesting" characters dying to stupidity.}
Precisely, I am still a writer after all, but, as you know, it isn't exactly easy to just bring someone back.
{That's for sure, well, that you for the heads up.}
No problem.
Rose looked at us with a smile.
"Well, now we have that information."
"Yep, so, knowing what I do, it will likely stay within the commanders. So, make sure they know.
"Understood."
Then we redistributed. Rose stood at the pedestal to deliver one last message.
"All right men!!!"
Everyone raised their heads as Rose stood triumphantly.
"This is our final battle. All of the major figures will be here. As such, you cannot let up for a single moment."
She began to glow gold.
{Remember this, if we win today, then we have won tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that.}
Her aura shed over all of us. Her angels, her warriors. All of us felt her presence.
{Remember what we fight for. We fight for our families. We fight for our friends. We fight for the future.}
Cheering erupted, and Rose continued.
{We come from various worlds, from various paths, but what do we fight for? Freedom. For so long we have fallen to the whims of the Supreme beings. Now, let's fight for us. For our freedom and of those who will come after.}
More cheering.
{Now, for the darker piece, I know, for many of you angels, you have friends in the opposing sides. I know that it will be hard, it always is to fight a friend, but they will not fight you as a friend. They have sworn total loyalty to either the Ruler or Lucifer. Therefore, I want you to take the images of those you know on the other side and block them out. Don't forget them, but do not hold your sword.}
Many nodded in understanding. Then she continued, her face was grim with determination.
{As this is our final battle, we are throwing in all we have. That means that we are at the most risk, but so are the enemies. As we are at the most risk, I have contingencies set in place for the demise of each commander, including myself. If we fall, if Luma or Sona deliver that grim announcement, then I give one order. Fight!}
The people looked at her in confusion. She stopped glowing and spoke normally.
"Many of you, native to Pandora will remember when I spoke on the strong being as expendable as any other. This still holds true. Me and my commanders will fight fiercely, but there are foes there that may best some of us. If that happens, what will you do? I will give you an ultimatum."
Everyone looked curious. Then her next words shook the crowd.
"If you answer is to flee or cower, then leave now and go home, I will not hold it against you."
Then she smiled.
"But if your answer is to fight even harder to make up for their loss, then welcome to the end of the line. We are warriors, we are fighters, we will fight!"
Everyone started cheering again.
"We are mortals facing deities but remember this. Mortals started from nothing. Now, we can defeat the warriors of Heaven. If we made it this far in 3 years, imagine what we can do in 10. Now, don't fall here. Don't lose your potential!"
Everyone was cheering.
"The name of factions is automatically assigned to them. I was initially confused of the name, Garden, but now I understand. We are the Garden of Hope. The Garden of Freedom. The Garden of Warriors. Now, {WHO ARE WE?!}
"WE ARE GARDEN!!!"
Then a massive gate to Lucifer's final stand opened.
{Then let's show that these roses have thorns.}
"YAAAAAA"
{CHAAAAARGE!!!}
The men flooded into the gates as all of our hearts grew with courage.
Thus began the final battle.
