"The temperature keeps rising..."
On the way to the Red Maple Base, Wang Tao frowned as he felt the rising temperature on his skin.
Given the current situation, a continuous rise in temperature wasn't surprising. But how could it increase by a whole degree in just 30 minutes? If it kept up at this rate, in a few days it would hit 100 degrees. Yet, in reality, the temperature was still barely over 50 degrees... The actual temperature and the theoretical rate of increase clearly didn't match up.
"Could it be because the sun is rising?"
Looking at the blinding sun high in the sky, Wang Tao was unsure.
After all, this extreme heat seemed to be coming from underground rather than the sun. The deeper underground, the hotter it got. It didn't seem directly related to the sun...
As he puzzled over this, Wang Tao didn't lower his guard and kept a vigilant eye on the surroundings. He was hoping to encounter a zombie possessing Fire Attribute Basic Law power.
