The family of four strolled around together until it became clear the two little ones couldn't walk any further. Lu Yichen reached out and hoisted up the daring Yanyan, letting her sit on his shoulders, "Sit tight."
Yanyan wrapped her arms around her dad's neck, excitedly saying, "Daddy, now I'm the tallest!"
Lu Yichen made sure she was seated properly before he picked up Yueyue, then freed up one hand to hold Luo Qiao's hand, and the family of four leisurely made their way home.
As they approached their house, they saw quite a number of people standing at the entrance to their courtyard.
Michael came running over first, "Yanyan, Yueyue, where did you guys go to play?"
Yanyan patted her dad to let her down and told Michael, "We went to Mommy's school to play."
It wasn't until during the BBQ they had together last time that the neighbors on either side learned that Luo Qiao was doing her PhD at Harvard Medical School, and they all gave her a thumbs-up.
